Depressing

I don’t know if it was the story, narration, or both that was bad. I listened with my wife and had to finish but were both disappointed.

Great listen

I didn’t know what to expect. Yes the narrator has a robotic type of voice but over time it’s perfect and ties into the main characters personality. I liked how they played out this story and it definitely was worth the listen!

I saw it coming

I figured out the main twist way to soon. It was still good enough to finish to see if i was right. Which I was. After reading reviews I was hoping for a shock. So a let down as far as shock goes.

Makes you think.

I did enjoy this book. It makes you wonder what the heck is going on and then it it takes a few twist interns. I like page turners and I didn’t want to keep going to find out what was going to happen next.

Robotic audio??

Is it just my phone but does this narrator sound like Alexa or Siri? I’m having a hard time listening and following it.

Could’ve been better

This one isn’t Mary’s best work by a long shot. I had quite a few issues with this book. I won’t list them because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone. The story is very predictable, but I’m okay with that. It’s just a few things that didn’t “fit” in my opinion. I still enjoyed the book, I just think it could’ve been much better.

3 stars for an entertaining storyline

The narrator drove me a bit crazy with the robotic performance and the name is Otto, not Auto. Predictable, but an entertaining read.

Predictable

I enjoyed this book overall, but half way through it’s an easy guess what will happen. You then have to listen to how it all falls into place knowing what happens. Even the little twist at the end I saw coming. Also, the main character makes SO many bad decisions it’s just painful. It kept my attention though so I gave it three stars.

So. So. So. GOOD

So many twists and turns that I won’t ruin for you- but highly encourage you to find out for yourself. One of my favorite mystery thriller books ever is Verity by Colleen Hoover, so I always use that as a scale for how much I like other books- and this one is the closest that has come to it! I couldn’t put it down. 100% worth the read/listen!

Kept Me Guessing

Well written book, developed characters. This book kept me guessing and entertained. Once the climax happened it did not drop and kept me hanging on.
