Had I not read all the reviews about the quality of the narration, I would not have noticed anything off about it at all. And as another reviewer noted, there is a reason. The book was good. It was slow in places throughout. It did pick up towards the end and what I thought I had all figured out, I didn't.

Narration is Fine

Wasn’t crazy about the female narrator. Seemed very whiny and deliberate with voice. I felt like I was being talked down to

Suspenseful, twisting tale of murder, deceit, and manipulation! Hold on, because this thriller turns upside down!!!

Head games!!!

I really wanted to like this. Especially with all the hype around it coming soon to Netflix. It was almost painful to listen to. The narration is subpar. The plot did not hold my interest. Save your credit.

Just meh

GET. THIS. BOOK!! This is the 3rd book in a row that has me saying, I did not see that coming!! One thing I did know kind of middle-ish and I was afraid I was going to be disappointed with the ending because it was a tad cliche’. I was so not disappointed with the ending!!

Holy crap!

Such a great book! It was so creative and well written. I really appreciated the twists and turns this book offered! I will say there was a piece of it I did guess was happening early on. BUT there was another turn i never saw coming and was a pleasant surprise. the overall concept was great and I keep thinking about the book after I finished it. I am just dying to tell someone about what happened in this book! The narrator is a little bland at first and a little boring. But honestly it just got better or I got used to it. She also took on a better role with other characters as the book progressed and nailed those. highly recommend this book! just don't stop even when its slow. its worth sticking with it!

Highly Recommend!

I don’t want to give it away but the ending is out of a 1990’s Sunday night movie. I can’t really recommend this book. Not sure if the narrator or the book it self but was very cold read. Sounded like an amateur reading. Sorry. Just didn’t like much of this

The ending? Really?

This book just did not deliver.

Overall, the story was interesting...yet pretty unrealistic. With this being said it took quite a while for the story to pick up and when it did it was just a silly, unrealistic scenario.

I found myself skipping through Sadie’s never ending, unnecessary internal dialogue. She was not like able in my opinion. She is incapable of standing up for herself even in times where a very shy person would do so. She is said to be completely in love with being a mother yet quite inattentive to her children.

When the book finally picked up and took a turn it just MADE NO SENSE. I found myself rolling my eyes throughout this book so many times.

By the end there were so many unanswered questions, not in a good way. This book did not serve what it said to deliver.

Expectedly mediocre
