About this listen

Welcome to Phantasma.

There are only two rules to the game. Stay alive. And don’t fall in love.

When Ophelia’s sister disappears, there is only one way to save her. Ophelia must enter Phantasma, a deadly contest inside a haunted mansion, and claim its prize—a single wish.

Phantasma is a maze of twisting corridors and lavish ballrooms, of demons and temptations. Ophelia will face nine challenges, each more dangerous than the last. There can only be one winner, and the other contestants will stop at nothing to eliminate their rivals.

Every day the house creates new monsters. But just as Ophelia’s fears threaten to overwhelm her, a mysterious stranger offers her a bargain.

Charming, arrogant and infuriatingly attractive, Blackwell claims he can guide her through the lethal trials ahead. All he asks in return is ten years of her life.

Ophelia knows she shouldn’t trust him. Blackwell doesn’t seem dangerous, but appearances can be deceptive. Worse still, she feels a dark and irresistible attraction drawing them closer and closer.

Her life is on the line. But in Phantasma, the only thing deadlier than losing the game is losing your heart…

A Court of Thorns and Roses meets Caraval in this seductive fantasy adventure. With steamy romance, a sexy morally gray love interest, OCD rep and jaw-dropping twists, Phantasma is perfect for fans of Rebecca Yarros, Nisha J. Tuli and Carissa Broadbent.

Trails, romance, and definitely worth a try

4.75 ⭐️s. This gave me Kingdom of the Wicked vibes, and I was absolutely here for it.

I’ve seen TikTok’s of @laura_horowitz_narrator and was so excited to have my first audiobook with her narrating. It was amazing to say the least. I immediately purchased Worthy of Fate because she narrated it also.

Ophelia’s mother has died, and now she must take over the family business as a necromancer. When her sister goes missing, she must put the Grimm house and the horrible debt behind to find her. She learns that her sister has entered Phantasma. Ophelia must now enter the deadly contest for the one wish she must have granted. Save her sister. In order to win Phantasma, she must make a bargain. Blackwell is a phantom and claims he can help her but Ophelia must give something in return. 10 years of her life. She shouldn’t trust him but there’s something that keeps drawing her to him. Read to find out if Ophelia finds her sister, discover more about Blackwell, and whether or not she lives through Phantasma.

Amazing book!!!

I got this book at my BOTM and finished it within a day of receiving it. It was SO good! Very fast paced; the book is just under 500 pages and felt more like 300. It felt like I was in a time warp lol I loved all the characters and felt so attached to Ophelia’s character. This was a solid 10/10 for me.

I loved the book overall!

A thrilling unputtdownable romantasy with a great plot following the 7 deadly sins! I did not like how whiny the voice for Ophelia was...

Awesome, spooky, romance

Fast paced read with romance and a HEA. Definite gothic horror type vibes but done in a really palatable way and wonderful mental health representation!

I LOVED IT!!!

This book was an absolute banger. The spooky vibes were there, and I really liked the trials. I liked the OCD representation in this book. It helped me learn more about OCD in a great way. The romance and the spice were just amazing. I was giggling and blushing reading this book. Blackwells mouth!! That man can get you hot and bothered for sure.

Phantasma was fantastical!

What a beautifully haunting story! I loved the gothic setting, the descriptions from the houses to the clothing! The romance was perfectly done and I was completely sucked in to the storyline. I loved all the little breadcrumbs along the way to lead us to the truth about Ophelia and Blackwells backgrounds and the truth that would set him free. The narrator was amazing! She swept me away and I loved every second of this one!

Brace yourself for some bad acting but a FABULOUS story.

I disliked how "Ophie" used yelling as a form of acting, but I loved the characters, premise, story and pure creativity. Definitely worth credit.
