Story
It’s not always easy to tell when you’re dealing with a narcissist. One day they draw you in with their confidence and charisma, the next they gaslight you, wreck your self-confidence, and leave you wondering, What could I have done differently? As Dr. Ramani Durvasula reveals in It's Not You, the answer is: absolutely nothing. Just as a tiger can’t change its stripes, a narcissist won’t stop manipulating and invalidating you. To heal in the aftermath of their abuse and protect yourself from future harm, you first have to accept that you are not to blame.

I’ve read so many books on the subject and they spend all the efforts on the behavior behind the narcissist which is helpful to identify and remove yourself from their toxic behavior; but none address the problem of how to overcome the harm and damage to they inflict upon you. Different from other Narcissistic Books - How to heal from it and how to effectively navigate without getting hurt ever again.

Story
The causes of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder range from severe neglect to monstrous abuse. Many survivors grew up in houses that were not homes-in families that were as loveless as orphanages and sometimes as dangerous. If you felt unwanted, unliked, rejected, hated, and/or despised for a lengthy portion of your childhood, trauma may be deeply engrained in your mind, soul, and body. This book is a practical guide to recovering from lingering childhood trauma. It is copiously illustrated with examples of the author's and his clients' journeys of recovering.

What I love about this book is that it very quickly allowed me to identify with what I believe was the problem and the cause of my suffering. Ultimately it guide you gently affectively to realizing those are the symptoms and not the root problem. Helping you through the process to success he guide you into taking responsibility for what you were doing to contribute to the problem and pain, and the tools that allow you and your spouse to get where are you both deserve and desire to be.

This is the seventh book in a progressive series based on the revelations of consciousness research. It describes in detail how to discern not only truth from falsehood but also the illusion of appearance from the actual core of reality. The text explains how to differentiate perception from essence, and thereby enables the listener to resolve the ambiguities and classical riddles that have challenged mankind for centuries and baffled the best minds in history.

Story
The now widely known map of calibrated levels of consciousness was presented in Power vs. Force in 1995 and has been translated into all the world's major languages. This was followed by The Eye of the I (2001), I: Reality and Subjectivity (2003), and Truth vs. Falsehood (2005), which explored the levels of truth reflected throughout society. Transcending the Levels of Consciousness returns to the exploration of the ego's expressions and inherent limitations and gives detailed explanations and instructions on how to transcend them.

A great story teller and quite entertaining stories. Pretends to be humble but when you get to the end it’s pretty evident it’s really only dramatic stories to tell about how he thinks he’s amazing. Regardless of your politics, sad he concludes with a biased viewpoint instead of remembering he’s a reporter, not a politician.

It's not often you get an inside track or perspective of vulnerability and power from a modern evolved and capable man, but this book gives you that unique access. His is extremely entertaining and insightful as something we can share in our own rites of passage journeys. A strong narration voice, and example of what curiosity, persistence, and consistency can yield in a man's journey through life. A must read for any man looking for reassurance to keep going and enjoy the ride, even the scary parts.
