I had the privilege of reading this in physical form. When the audiobook dropped I scooped it up. This book is so much bloody and gory fun that I could not stop listening. James Kaine always knocks it out of the park. He is and will continue to be an author I constantly buy from!

As much as I would like to enjoy both of these authors. There is too much use of slurs against gays, and self loathing. So much so that I had to give up. As a gay man I do not appreciate hearing the F word being tossed around to be shocking and that's what this was.

Reviewed: 09-02-24
This book is a straight ghost story. The stakes are real. Kaine continues to connect with the reader, and draw you into his worlds. This is much more tame than his other works, but being the masterful story teller he is, he pivots without missing a beat.

One last laugh for the summer as it winds down. One last prank just to scare a friend. Bringing a mannequin into a theater is just some harmless fun, right? Until it wakes up. Until is starts killing. Luckily, Sawyer has a plan. He'll be a hero. He'll save everyone to the best of his ability. He'll kill as many people as he needs to so he can save the day. That's the thing about heroes - sometimes you have to become a monster first.
