“We are in a book!”
Okay so, I really loved These Walls Can Talk, and I have always raved about it and reccomended it to anyone who would listen.
These Walls Can Talk 2: The Narwhal Strikes Back! is no different.
This is an all-star cast and Erin Mallon never fails to make me laugh so hard, the people in the grocery store look at me funny.
Joe Arden IS Atticus. Tanya Eby as Georgia SLAYS me. Vera is trying so hard. Bless her heart, and Cameron— I just do not think he will ever fully understand. Giving Atticus a love interest is brilliant. I loved getting to find out more about Jennifer. But the best part for me comes in scene eighteen. It just DOES!!!

These Wilde boys keep getting better and better. As usual Kim Loraine stirs up a bunch of mess with her cowboys and their families. I really wish these families were not fictional. I would love to have the chance to visit all of the ranches, the families, and the locations mentioned in all of the Ryker/Wilde/Langston stories. It feels like a home I have never known.
Luke Wilde, who we last saw in Vegas, decides to take Mackenzie Langston, his best friend’s sister on his broken honeymoon trip to Hawaii. They both needed some recovery time after a bad break-up and what better way to unwind than with a childhood friend— right?
The sizzle between Mack and Luke is loud and obvious from the start. The fact that she is supposed to be off limits drives it even more.
We get a little primal action from Luke in the bedroom which brings the steam up even higher. I don’t know which scenery is better— Hawaii or Luke.
It seems like everyone knows these two are meant to be with the exception of Luke, Mackenzie, and Nash.
Someone needs stitches by the end of this story.

Teddy Hamilton is a great addition to the family as Luke Wilde and as always, Stella Hunter brings the heat and passion as Mackenzie Langston.

Having won a copy print copy of Branched, I had read it a couple of times, and I was excited to hear it was coming to audio.
I am still in awe over at. I knew Joe would be perfect but I underestimated everyone on this one. I am just over the moon with how it turned out. It is beyond delightfully twisted and is fabulous. They hit this one out of the park. If it doesnt make you feel awkward and a little creeped out and laugh all at the same time, I dont know what to tell you.

Diesel is Flammable

At the end of Hitching the Cowboy, book 1 in the Circle B Ranch series, we start to see the blooming relationship between Riley Bishop’s best friend Diesel, and his little sister Rowan.
These two have always been at each others throats, but Diesel has never hidden the fact that he was head over boots in love with Rowan. Rowan Bishop has come home to lick her wounds after finding out her boyfriend was cheating on her. This is a trope as old as time, but Kennedy Fox nails it with ease. The chemistry between these two is perfect, from the witty banter to the sizzle.
With Diesel involved, there are always shenanigans and they seem to pop up when no one is looking. Sneaking around gets more and more difficult however, in the small community and it all comes to a head.
The Bishops are a loyal and forgiving bunch. I fell in love with Diesel over and over again. It is no secret that I love a cowboy romance and this one is no different. With a Bishop or their extended family, you cannot go wrong.

Love in Real Time

Before I decided to jump into this book, I heard several opinions from other readers/listeners about the content. Opinions were varied, with many of my friends carrying the opinion that, in such a tumultuous time as we are in, they would rather keep their romance options strictly fiction, and this one was hitting too close to home.
While I usually would agree, I think it is important to have some reality in our romance, as it aids in the fantasy that these things could truly happen to one in their every day life.
All of that said, I dove right in.
I was pleasantly surprised. At the start of the 2020 pandemic, a lack of communication leads to Cameron, our lovely college student, and Elijah, her brother’s best friend, “isolating” themselves together in a mountain cabin owned by Cameron’s family. Attitudes and opinions clash, and the tension between the two builds quickly.
This one is full of snark, tension, steam, some humor, angst, and a whole lot of reality.
The drama hits from the beginning, displaying the initial lax attitude of the public, moving on to a lack of PPE and supplies, and even a delayed time line on the world returning to the new normal. While steeped in reality, it does a great job of reminding us to find the good in the unusual circumstances we are all in. Well done!
Emma Wilder's performance was gold, as always.

This was on my to-be-read list for quite a while before I took the plunge. While I love a long book, for some reason I found it daunting, despite loving all of the other T.L. Swan books I have read.
There were great laughs in this one and some serious heartfelt moments.
The growth in Julian is immense. I went from despising him, despite his hotness, to wanting to snuggle him and love him forever.
The narration was wonderful. Sofia Lette was new to me and was brilliant, and Shane East actually got to flex his acting chops a bit more than usual.

Over all, while I found it a little slow to get in to, I am super glad I stuck it out.

Riley Bishop is all grown up!

The dynamic duo that makes up Kennedy Fox took The Bishop Brothers series and aged it up into The Circle B Ranch.
A new generation of the Bishop family is all grown up. Riley Bishop is the son of Alex and River Bishop.
Riley meets Zoey Mitchell on a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas.
Unlike the cliche, what happens in Vegas does NOT stay in Vegas, because the rings Riley and Zoey wear when they wake up, combined with the very legally binding marriage license means this relationship will not be over when the plane lands.
Zoey is on the cusp of being locked into a relationship with the man of her parents’ dreams and wonders if the fireworks she felt with Riley are real.
All of that said, any fan of the Bishops knows how wonderful, welcoming, and protective the Bishop family can be.
I loved watching the relationship bloom between Zoey and Riley, as well as catching up with the rest of the Bishop family. The rustic feel of the ranch is a far cry from the world Zoey is used to.
While this book is low on the angst scale, drama ensues as Zoey is still expected to be the good girl her family wants her to be and she ends up caught between the two worlds.

I adore a cowboy romance, and as a fan of the original Bishop Brothers books, Hitching the Cowboy does not disappoint. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Stephen Dexter and Lia Longola, both of who are fairly new to me did an excellent job in the narration.

Full disclosure- I was provided with a code for the audio of this book and give only my honest review.
