Story
Felix's life on Earth had become a series of dead-end jobs, ruined relationships, and rotating apartments smaller than most postage stamps. By all accounts, even his own, he was a coward. Too afraid to move forward, to take risks. Yet when given the chance to choose between risking his life or walking away from a deadly encounter, he didn't hesitate. Moments before his untimely demise, Felix was snatched from earth and thrust into a magical world known only as "The Continent". Empowered by the "System", he learns that he can strengthen himself through combat and dedication.

Keeps you on your feet the entire time! One of the most underrated series I’ve ever read! It’s like the land but better! Meant purely for the ones who like the stat and loot style! Highly highly recommend!!

Story
Fischer has everything he needs in life: blossoming friendships, a menagerie of cute animal companions, a waterfront property with easy access to fishing, and enough coffee to take out a small elephant or a really big dog. Unfortunately, Fischer can’t catch a break. Cosmic forces? Still throwing curveballs. The bigwigs in the capital? Starting to sniff around his business. Cults? Still culting. Plus, awakened beings are washing up on his shores like flotsam after a storm. And worst of all? His coffee guy ghosted him!

This book has been amazing! Both 1 and 2 are fantastic books! They bring a very new enriching environment to the genre! Even if you don’t like fishing I think you’d love these books! However book two brings interesting combat scenario alive toward the end! Is definitely on my must read list if you like the Xianxia genre!

Ilea likes punching things. And eating. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many career options for hungry brawlers. Instead, the plan is to quit her crappy fast-food job, go to college, and become a fully functioning member of society. Essentially—a fate worse than death.

This book hit in waves like no other! The only reason I give it a 4 star overall is simply because there’s no clear motivation or reasoning behind the main character! Though you know what they are striving to become you never really see a true “reason”. I loved this book and highly highly recommend it!

Story
In The Land: Predators, the Mist Village has harnessed its power. With core buildings, professional fighters, and now their own dungeon, the settlement is primed to grow into a kingdom of true power and magic. The path to power has not been without risk, however. The MistVillage has been noticed. Evil nobles from the Kingdom of Law, bloodthirsty goblins from the Serrated Mountains, an undead lord with a penchant for human sacrifice, and fanatical kobolds from the Depths all plot the village's destruction.

Amazing but angering…
Reviewed: 06-10-24
Don’t get me wrong this book is amazing! That being said I think it’s work the money and worth the listen all the same! The tale in this story is amazing because Nick Podehl! I cannot explain just how amazing he alone is! Now, based on story, I’ve got some minor complaints! The first 20 hours is perfectly paced for my liking! The mid 20 were good and based on city building. But come on the last 7 hours could have a been a whole book in its own right. So many cliffhangers by the end of the book I’ll have to read it again before the next book to remember all that happened. The rush I felt in the final 3 hours made me so mad. Felt like the author ran out of time and effort so decided “eh, f-it… let’s end 150 hours of reading in 3 hours and not explain what happens to each character. The final 4 hours were Disappointing but I’m sure the next book will tie in well so don’t take what I say to heavily.

What's that you say? You want more village growth? Well be careful where you stand, because the Mist Village just took a Viagra-Cialis sandwich, and there is a stiff breeze blowing! (I can make some more references if you're still not getting the point...did you see what I did there?)

Unexpected!
Reviewed: 05-21-24
So I absolutely love this series so far but I do feel it’s become a bit more episodic. I yearned for the exciting battles that took place in the catacombs! However it’s was hardly 1/12th of the story. There are SO many things to keep in the back of your mind like tasks, loot recently found, and people that honestly it’s a bit lackluster when none of the “big problems” have solutions and the “small issues” get solved in auto pilot! Yes still the best series I’ve read to date I can’t wait to see a finale to some of the looming dooms!
Narration: 15/10
Understanding: 10/10
Definition and quality action: 8/10
!!!!!Possible spoiler!!!!!
I think I’m ready to see a definite gain of power in the main character rather than the “by the hair on my chiney chin chin” character we’ve seen to this point!

There’s a lot hanging in the air at this point though I’ve loved every second of it and will be buying the next book shortly after this review. It’s getting a bit harder to remember just all who allied or enemy, the threat or the problem, and even the progression of strength! Endlessly I find myself rewinding and listening to parts over again because it spits the information out! HOWEVER there is nothing better than the story thus far it is amazing, interesting, and well designed! BUT DAMNIT I want my love interest already!

The ideal Isekai!
Reviewed: 05-14-24
This is really the idea isekai, there’s tons to unwrap! It’s a simple story, steady pacing, no overpowered main character but simply one who uses his brain! The main character is honest, helpful, and has integrity! He uses his key strengths to help those close to him and even those who are unfamiliar! I think the single only thing I wish this book had that it doesn’t is a love interest! Not to say they may not have hinted toward one yet thus far!

Character development: 8/10

Story
Morgan used to be a pretty chill dude, until he got hit by a car, died, and then got sent to another world by a god-not-god. A world where the only way to survive was to level and grow strong enough to survive all the monsters that wanted to eat your face. If he was being completely honest with himself, Morgan quite liked this world, even with all the monsters and the lack of electricity. Sure, there were people that were technically gods, running around and interfering with his life, but who didn't have problems?

This book follows your more traditional LitRPG rubric! It has a slow steady uphill pace with little downtime, it has plenty of action, and it has a great amount of character building! I was well surprised with the end outcome but feel like it’s leading to more! I do find it hard to think where it’ll go next from here but can’t wait to see!

Story
Morgan used to be a pretty normal guy. He went to college by day and played online games by night, leading his guild into new conquests - until he got hit by a car and a dude wearing a wet suit appeared in front of him. The man offered him a new chance at life in a world he had created, a world with similar rules to the games Morgan loved to play. There is the promise of great rewards and power, he says, if Morgan manages to complete the Tower of Power.
