Sweet story

Sweet story, but it really leaves a lot of questions. Would have been a better trilogy with less of the MC inner drooling over her mates and more action. Still, kudos to the new author.

Story
It's been over three months since my friends and I took down Cyrus. Three months where my biggest fear was what paper was due next . . . But I should have known it was too good to last. Now everything is falling apart. The Vampire Court has no king, the Dragon Court has no heart, and the Gargoyle Court has me—a teenager in way over her head. And it's the worst possible timing, because a threat is brewing just as the Circle is collapsing. I have no choice but to return to the Shadow Realm and face the terrifying queen who nearly ended us . . . and make a deal with her to save Mekhi.

The constant repetition with Grace’s thoughts left my brain taking long vacations. That and calling all the males in the story “this sweet , wonderful boy…”. Too many times the thoughts that Grace was working out in her head lasted longer than the action that the story was about to divulge. No one takes that much time to work out a problem in their head, especially when in most cases it added nothing to what was happening in the story. Overall I have loved all the books. The things I listed above are what I didn’t like. Grace has a wonderful story. She just gets stuck in her head way too much, and that takes away from the excitement the story is building too.

Beautiful descriptions that pulled me completely into the story as if I were actually there. Wonderful building off characters, conflicts, and resolutions that left me knowing the happy ending. I am not an author and just don’t have the words to describe how wonderful this trilogy has been. I will read again!

But Emma and Galen didn't sign up to be peacemakers between the ocean and the land-dwelling, freshwater Syrena. They didn't bargain for meeting a charming Half-Breed named Reed, who can barely disguise his feelings for Emma.

Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Great story
Reviewed: 02-05-24
The female voice was beautiful and pulled me into the story deeper. The story itself was well written and kept me engaged both in words and imagery as the story was told. The male voice was irritating, in my opinion, causing me to need breaks when normally I wouldn’t. He read like he was announcing a sporting event on the radio. His way of reading really took away from the story and ruined the imagery the female voice and the story created. I give her 5 stars but him, only 2 stars.
