Publisher's summary

The love between a human and a Morgon, the dragon-hybrid race, tempts fate once more....

All her life, Ella Barrow has allowed others to make her decisions. Forced to stifle her artistic talents and stay in a loveless relationship with Clayton Kerrington, the man her mother believes to be her perfect match, Ella's life may be safe - but it's not her own. Paxon Nightwing, on the other hand, is anything but the safe choice.

A charming and alluring Morgon, Paxon sees Ella for the woman she truly is. His bold confidence and protective nature ignites a passion she's never felt before. But a dark family tragedy forces their secrecy - until Clayton makes it impossible to hide their clandestine affair. Will Ella be strong enough to fight for herself at last? Or will she succumb once more and risk losing the only man she's ever loved?

Contains mature themes.

Good listen

Good listen! Didnt know a lot about Ella til I listened to this one. She showed up in very small roles in the past two books. She is being railroaded by boyfriend and parents until she gets to the point of no return. She aggressively goes after what she wants then which is Pax.

Love this Series!

I would love to hear more from this series! I cannot get enough. I love the overall story line and hearing how each couple comes together.

Sweet story!

This was such a sweet story, with just enough drama for a novella. I liked that in contrast to the other books in this series, the drama wasn’t violent, and the male lead was always gentle with her. The others were good too, but it was nice to see a Morgon man who wasn’t as domineering, but was instead gentle, loving, and supportive (though definitely still protective)

Short

The story had potential but was just too short to actually get there. I finished feeling like saying…. Wait… what, when, how…. . It just felt incomplete.

A little too Pollyanna & pink heart eyes

Ella is one of those sunshine and kittens girls, the kind that loves pink, draws hearts on her notepad, and always says please and thank you. Paxon is a charming, perfect dragon man. The conflict is very teenage silly. It wasn’t quite as bad as book 1, but this still felt like empty calories.
