Novel sci fi story with humanity

Brought to attention humanity’s short sighted, self serving, and at times self destructive tendencies with an undertone of the good that can be achieved through love and selflessness for the future.

Story
Thumbing across the scorched West Texas desert, loner Jack Reacher has nowhere to go and all the time in the world to get there. Cruising the same stretch of two-lane blacktop is pretty Carmen Greer. But for Reacher, the lift comes with a hitch. Carmen's got a story to tell, and it's a wild one. All about her husband, her family secrets, and a hometown that's pure Gothic. She's also got a plan. Jack Reacher's part of it. And before the sun sets, this ride could cost them both their lives.

Much more than it needed to be

A book any married man should read if he desires a more intimate relationship with his partner.
Reviewed: 07-01-23
The premise is the pursuit, methodology, values, and what a man can bring to the table if he’s grounded and doesn’t “need” his partner.
Exciting material to ponder and break the co dependency plague present in too many relationships and marriages in the world presently that often end in divorce and unnecessarily broken long term relationships.
Thank you for the material, Andrew. Kudos!

Story
The Book of Lies, or Liber 333, is a holy book in the Western occult tradition of Thelema, consisting of 91 short chapters of poems, aphorisms, rituals, and metaphysics. This recording is of the original 1913 publication, and thus omits the further commentaries added by Crowley for subsequent additions. Those familiar with Crowley’s hermetic writings will recognize his subversive and playful style.

Story
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the Earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Wow, I’m tempted to leave 5 stars
Reviewed: 09-11-19
At brief moments the story aspired to greatness before foundering back into agonizing background noise at best. The narrator did what she could, but with a plot like this, I’m appalled she wasted her enthusiasm on it. Story should be rated 0 stars.
I’d leave 5 stars for mind numbing drudgery. It is what it is and I don’t foresee listening to the rest of the series.
