Story
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

An excellent, excellent book on the causes and effects of parental- alienation, on identifying and addressing destructive behaviors, and on acts that take place prior to, during, and after a divorce. It's a must-read for any parent wanting to become an advocate for their child, and for all professionals who influence relationships between the parent and child. I absolutely recommend this book.

An excellent book - one of the best I've read yet!! As a divorce court deputy clerk and a retired police officer, this book is hits it on the mark. I recommend it to all divorce commissioners, custody evaluators and mediators, and District Court and Juvenile Court judges. Like domestic violence, the problems identified know no class lines and are hard for most to identify and respond to, until it's too late. The "crazy-maker' tends to succeed in his never-ending lose/lose battle over monies, custodial issues, control, and more, - and at his family's and societies expense. Education is key.

In his book Just Listen, Mark Goulston shared his best-selling formula for getting through to the resistant people in your life. Now he brings his communication magic to the most difficult group of all - the downright irrational.

A stunning new approach to how individuals can not only change their lives for the better in the workplace, but also their lives away from the office, including (but not limited to) finding ways to improve one's working relationship with others, one's overall health, outlook on life, and so on. For example, why is it that 95% of all diet attempts fail? Why do New Year's Resolutions last no more than a few days? Why can't people with good intentions seem to make consistent and positive strides in the way they want to improve their careers, financial fitness, physical fitness, and so on?
