Story
When an early morning call brings Deputy Ben Packard to the scene of a home invasion, he finds Bill Sandersen shot in his bed. Bill was a well-liked local who chased easy money his whole life, leaving bad debts and broken hearts in his wake. Everyone Packard talks to has a story about Bill, but no one has a clear motive for wanting him dead. The business partner. The ex-wife. The current wife. The high-stakes poker buddies. Any of them—or none of them—could be guilty.

Good suspense! I love Packard!

I love a good investigative story!
There’s a murder to solve, and the unraveling of who did it takes us on a perplexing investigation through a lot of suspects, a great plot, and good twists. It’s filled with secrets, lies, family drama, and deception.
I am enjoying Ben Packard and getting to know him. He’s such an interesting and cool guy. In addition to trying to solve a murder and run for Sheriff, now someone has tried to take Ben’s life. Who is after Packard and why? Are they involved in the death of Packard’s brother? Looks like Packard is going to be finding out more about the death of his brother many years ago that turned into a cold case. He’s going to have his work cut out for him. Great ending leaving us anxious for the next book.

Story
Running a small-town police force in the mountains of New Mexico should be a smooth, carefree kind of job. Sadly, full-time Sheriff - and even fuller-time coffee guzzler - Sunshine Vicram, didn't get that memo. All Sunshine really wants is one easygoing day. You know, the kind that starts with coffee and a donut (or three) and ends with takeout pizza and a glass of chardonnay (or seven). Turns out, that’s about as easy as switching to decaf. (What kind of people do that? And who hurt them?)

OOOH! I loved this! I don’t even know where to start.
What a case for this one! So much mystery and danger.
I love what’s unfolding with Levi and Sunshine and so glad those little morsels we were dropped led right where I hoped.
I love Auri. She’s so much like her mom. I love her and Sunshine’s bond, her and Cruz’s relationship, and her and Levi’s connection. Can’t wait for more on that!
This witty, captivating story will have you laughing, hoping, and sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to know what’s going to happen next and how it’ll all play out. Fantastic!

Story
Del Sol, New Mexico is known for three things: its fry-an-egg-on-the-cement summers, its strong cups of coffee - and, now, a nationwide manhunt? Del Sol native Sunshine Vicram has returned to town as the elected sheriff - thanks to her adorably meddlesome parents who nominated her - and she expects her biggest crime wave to involve an elderly flasher named Doug. But a teenage girl is missing, a kidnapper is on the loose, and all of this is reminding Sunshine why she left Del Sol in the first place.

What a great start to this new series! We’re in Del Sol, New Mexico, a small town with wacky, fun people. Sunshine Vicram is the new sheriff in town. And what a first day she has!
There are a lot of moving pieces to this story! While working to find a missing child and a fugitive on the loose, this story also held a lot of mystery behind Sunshine’s past and her own abduction. Sunshine has some amnesia regarding this and is starting to remember pieces. She has secretly been investigating this herself. The ending sure left me anxious to get to the next book.
Sunshine Levi’s relationship is super intriguing. Sunshine has been in love with Levi since they were kids. Levi is very complex, cares a lot and protects his family, but is very broody and has a bad boy vibe to him. There were a lot of hints surrounding these two and I can’t wait to see what is to come here and what secrets are uncovered.
This story has great relationships.
I loved Sunshine and her daughter Auri’s relationship. There was a lot of emotion surrounding their past and I love their bond.
The bond between Sunshine and her best friend Quincy is fun. I also enjoy that he’s her deputy and the dynamic they have going on.
The relationship between Auri and Levi and Jimmy was just so heartwarming. I love how that unfolded and seeing what a bond they had.
There are still secrets to be uncovered that were hinted at and I can’t wait to see where this is all going to lead. This story is filled with intrigue, suspense, and great wit and humor.

Story
Let me ask you a question: If someone is vying for your spot on a team and just so happens to injure you during practice, would you believe it was on purpose? Word around campus is...it was no accident. That injury has cost me everything - my starting position, my junior year, and the draft. Now, I’m a senior fresh off recovery, struggling to find my groove, until the day I run into a nervous, fidgety girl with freckles in the dining hall.

I laughed out loud, smiled, and rooted for these two fabulous characters. I loved this story so much!!! I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce, when I saw him - my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar, all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes. On paper, it seemed like I had hit the jackpot. And if I wasn't fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him. But, I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in.

Story
Five hockey players, a cabin in the woods...and little old me, Winnie Berlin. Sounds like the start of a fantasy, right? But it's not. It's my reality. It all started when I got lost in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. A wicked thunderstorm sent my car mud sliding into a ditch, and for a girl whose survival skills involve finding the nearest Starbucks, I was in deep trouble. Forced to abandon my car in search of help, I stumbled upon a cabin in the middle of nowhere.

This story is heartfelt as we get points of view from Feyre, Rhysand, Cassian, Morrigan, and Nesta, hearing their innermost thoughts and feeling their emotions.
This story is more of a novella and “a day in the life” of the characters. No action but many emotions.
I just love this series and these characters. It’s been a difficult journey but the love and bonds all these characters share is just beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s to come for each of them as little nuggets have been placed throughout the story.
I enjoyed Winter Solstice and everyone coming together. My heart goes out to Nesta and her struggles. I’m anxious to see what awaits for her and Cassian.
