Couldn’t even finish first chapter

I couldn’t even finish first chapter. This book is way too political. I can’t. I love his stories but not his politics. I hate his representation of middle America.

I was looking forward to listening to this. It sounded great! I could not get past the British accent!! What is up with that? It ruined this book for me. It was probably a good book but I couldn’t deal with the British accent in Nebraska.

Story
In 1518, in a small town in Alsace, Frau Troffea began dancing and didn't stop. She danced until she was carried away six days later, and soon 34 more villagers joined her. Then more. In a month more than 400 people had been stricken by the mysterious dancing plague. In late-19th-century England an eccentric gentleman founded the No Nose Club in his gracious townhome - a social club for those who had lost their noses, and other body parts, to the plague of syphilis for which there was then no cure.

Would of been 5 stars!
Reviewed: 09-04-16
Wish the author had left off all of the liberal nonsense. Would of given it at 5 star except for the fact they made anyone religious or against abortion, a crazy person. Just write a good story and leave the liberal opinions to others. I should of read past reviews and I probably wouldn't of bought it.

I loved the series. This book was not my favorite. I was confused with the April part of the story. Still love the charters and the first three books.

Story
The events and people mentioned in this audiobook span three generations of the DeFreece family, but the audiobook could be the story of any family that had to carry on through job loss, bankruptcy, home fires, disease epidemics, and the loss of loved ones through the Depression era. Follow the trials and tribulations of a large family at the beginning of the 19th century. Hear about their pain and desperation during the darkest years of the Great Depression, and how they banded together to pull through.

Dislike this book. Thought it would be in story form. It was not. It was just history of her family read off. Genealogy stuff. I really thought it would be stories thought the generations.
