Publisher's summary

In the second installment of the gripping Tucker's Way series, Tucker faces the biggest crisis of her life.

Tucker has finally overcome a lifelong fear of trusting others and let her kind neighbor, Ella, into her heart. Despite their different backgrounds, Tucker and Ella share a deep affection and, together with their good friend Smiley Carter, they support one another and care for Tucker's three troubled grandchildren.

As Tucker's bonds with Ella and Smiley deepen, Tucker's grandson disappears and the bank threatens to foreclose on her farm. Then the worst happens - Ella is diagnosed with lung cancer. How can Tucker find her faith during a time when God has never seemed farther away?

The second story is better than the first

The author tells a story of people I won't forget. I listened to this story. Although there are religious themes, the truth in this story is how families are formed from strangers and staying together against all obstacles. Beautiful. Bravo!

Brilliant storytelling

I love this book. The shortest of the Tucker series, but brilliantly performed with a heart warming storyline. If you haven't fallen in love with Tucker yet, read this book.

Beautiful.......

Read Tucker's way first , loved it . I have to be honest , that knowing Ellie won't be in anymore books of the series , don't think I will read anymore of the Tucker books. Won't be the same to me . Loved the characters together .

Profound emotional impact

I gave 5 stars to the first book in the series, Tucker's way. now I think this second book would have to be seven or eight stars out of 5. it's truly amazing. I don't think I've ever listened to a book that has such a profound emotional impact. Brilliant writing absolutely brilliant narration. I highly recommend it but I also think you need to listen to Tucker's way first and don't give up if the first few chapters seem difficult. you will never regret this set of stories.

Good, but....

This book IS very good, I read the first book, Tucker’s Way as well and I thoroughly enjoyed it which is why I bought the second book (this book).
Though I knew Miss Ella would die, I had not expected the entire book to chronicle her death.
Life is hard enough to with deal day to day as it is, its why we read books, we need something to take us away from life’s hardships, and though I thoroughly enjoyed the book it was very hard to get through it knowing the ending and enduring pain throughout.
