Story
One cold December day, two men are blindsided by a hockey trade; one is the most decorated goalie in the league, while the other one is the youngest coach in the majors. Jethro Hale is the last player Coach Clay Powers wants to see on his roster, but the G.M. pulls a fast one. And it's not like he can even explain why. Nobody knows about their love affair fifteen years ago. Cue the all-star awkwardness, the painful memories and the reawakening of deep feelings on both sides.

So good. I may have cried a couple of times. Every time I think Sabrina won’t be able to make me fall in love with new characters she does it again.

This story has been told before but this is a fresh look at this type of story and it was great. The narration is absolutely wonderful. One person giving two characters completely different distinct voices is a narrator who should be applauded. Kudos all around.

Theo Briggs is a rule follower. He's a decent student in his junior year, an appeasing son, and a lifelong Christian, just trying to make it through high school unscathed. Caleb Raynard is a romantic. One of the few out-and-proud kids at Specter High School, Caleb's dating life has been hellish, to say the least—fraught with misread social cues and embarrassing situations—and Caleb is about ready to call the whole thing off. When Theo and Caleb meet in the basement of an old Catholic church that's rumored to be haunted, an instant and electric connection forms between them.

Proud of the handling of Gay youth in a book. Showing a diverse group of kids moving through life. The struggle of a boys life in a world of religious persecution for being who he is was done with an honest feel.

Tedious at times

Should have been written from Ned’s first person narrative. The narrator’s secondary voices were horrible. Henry’s character voice sounded like a robot. Narrator made it sound like there was a period after every word. Wrong choice.

Bookstore owner Aubrey Barnes likes his quiet, orderly London life, thank you very much. His shop may be struggling, his only employee is a menace, and his plumbing is one creaky pipe away from disaster, but he can handle it. Maybe. He cannot, however, handle the film company that's thrown his Soho street into chaos. And he definitely can't handle the charismatic American actor Blake Sinclair.

Stephen Dexter does Roddy's voice as a fem Man...which as a gay man does not bother me. Then you have Teddy Hamiltons well known voice as Roddy and you feel like your listening to a story with three characters. The story was a nice easy listen.
