Story
America’s anti-gun lobby wants you to “leave guns to the professionals.” The police and military will protect you, they say. Really? Ask the people of Israel how well that worked out for them. On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists murdered 1,200 Israelis in cold blood. Civilians waited in anguish for the army or police to rescue them. Why? Because the country’s restrictive gun laws left most people unarmed. The Israeli government made an immediate about-face after October 7. They loosened gun laws to allow as many citizens as possible to arm themselves.

Overall, excellent. A little repetitive but understandably for the content. Problem is, those who "need" to read it won't.

Story
MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan isn’t one to avoid arguments. He relishes them as the lifeblood of democracy and the only surefire way to establish the truth. Arguments help us solve problems, uncover new ideas we might not have considered, and nudge our disagreements toward mutual understanding. A good argument, made in good faith, has intrinsic value—and can also simply be fun.

The 2 books started off slow enough that I almost stopped listening. Don't! The story really picks up quickly after the lead in.
I must say I am truly interested in each character. I hope to see great things for them. I'll be anxiously awaiting the next installment! Please hurry! 😁

The dog’s name is Demolition but only Danny can see him. Men from The Ministry of Serendipity are monitoring Danny’s every move.

I started reading this book before realizing the show was about it. I'm glad I did I really enjoy the series so far. I've been finding extra time to listen more than usual. the narrator did an excellent job of providing multiple voices for the characters. if I had to pick a favorite part probably the fight between Geralt and the four assassins.
