I was hoping that the fight scenes would of caught up to the interesting characters and abilities but that has yet to happen and now I am starting to believe it won't ever happen. oh well still enjoying it regardless.

Retiring peacefully in Genshin Valley was never an option for Danzen Ravja, regardless of his intentions. To prevent any more attacks on the defenseless valley he now calls home, Danzen and his yokai companions head west to address the Diyu Brotherhood head-on, to face down two honorable assassins and even more with no honor at all.

I enjoy the characters and the story is pretty good. The only negative part of the book are the fight scenes, pretty bland. I hope the fights improve in later books.
