The perfect neighborhood can be the perfect place to hide… Who wouldn’t want to live in Brighton Hills? This exclusive community on the Oregon coast is the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty. Stunning houses nestle beneath mighty Douglas firs, and lush backyards roll down to the lakefront. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for one another. Sometimes a little too closely…

this is one of the best books I've listened to in so long! I found myself using any excuse I could to get to listen to this book. usually an 11-hour book would take me at least a week but I'm pretty sure I got through this in 3 days. the twists, the turns, the different perspectives and the crazy but intriguing story was so good! it literally made me laugh and cry and everything in between and I almost wish I hadn't already listened to it so I could listen to it again.

This was such a good friggin book. I loved the suspense, the storyline, the twists and turns and especially the different inflections the author used. There was so much passion and emotion in her voice, I really enjoyed that. The main plot was a little triggering, but I feel like that could be because I have children in the school system and the idea of anything similar happening to them is terrifying. I would definitely recommend it though, I couldn't put it down!

One year ago, Isabelle Drake's life changed forever: her toddler son, Mason, was taken out of his crib in the middle of the night while she and her husband were asleep in the next room. With little evidence and few leads for the police to chase, the case quickly went cold. However, Isabelle cannot rest until Mason is returned to her—literally. Except for the occasional catnap or small blackout where she loses track of time, she hasn’t slept in a year. Isabelle's entire existence now revolves around finding him, but she knows she can’t go on this way forever.

I really really wanted to like the story. I don't even know why I clicked it usually I'm in for much more murder/suspense thriller type story but the sample got me hooked and now I feel like I've wasted 12 years of my life. it was entirely predictable, unrealistic, melodramatic, and overall pretty boring. eh, you win some you lose some.

holy guacamole and cheese, this was so good! I zipped through it because I found myself pushing play again and again whenever I could. this is definitely a fantastic read for mothers or daughters. the suspense, the second guessing yourself, how we come to be mothers and how we come to be daughters. it reminded me a bit of another one I loved, Baby Teeth.
it was so good, I loved it
