A New York Times Book Review Summer Read and Edgar Award nominee! Don’t miss this unputdownable psychological thriller! Perfect for fans of Lucy Foley and Ruth Ware!

When you really start to look beyond the airy open floor plans and marble counters, Brighton Hills is filled with secrets. Some big, some little, some deadly. And one by one, they’re about to be revealed… “A writer to watch.” —Publishers Weekly

The perfect neighborhood can be the perfect place to hide…

Who wouldn’t want to live in Brighton Hills? This exclusive community on the Oregon coast is the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty. Stunning houses nestle beneath mighty Douglas firs, and lush backyards roll down to the lakefront. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for one another. Sometimes a little too closely…

Cora thinks her husband, Finn, is cheating—she just needs to catch him in the act. That’s where Paige comes in. Paige lost her son to a hit-and-run last year, and she’s drowning in the kind of grief that makes people do reckless things like spying on the locals, searching for proof that her son’s death was no accident…and agreeing to Cora’s plan to reveal what kind of man Finn really is. All the while, their reclusive new neighbor, Georgia, is acting more strangely every day. But what could such a lovely young mother possibly be hiding?

Looking for another heart-pounding thriller? Find out how far the shady residents of the Sycamores will go to keep the stranger in their midst from uncovering their deadly secrets in bestselling author Seraphina Nova Glass’s upcoming thriller, THE VACANCY IN ROOM 10!

Impressed

I listen to a lot of these types of books and Imogene church is always incredible! This was my first by Nova Glass. I wasn’t expecting a lot since I’d never read the author before and the reviews weren’t staggering yet. It started a bit like a cross between a lifetime movie and a slow burn desperate housewives, and Cora (while well acted) was a bit over the top. Yet you begin to appreciate her character for who she is and then you understand. Each of the 3 women are interesting and continue to surprise. I love the way the author wove their stories together. There was complication amongst multiple characters without introducing a ridiculous number of side characters like so many books do. A thoroughly satisfying ending as well and that is often not the case. I look forward to to future Novo Glass books after this one. Well done.

Engaging mystery

I really enjoyed this story. I was caught by surprise by some of the twists and really felt engaged in the story. I loved how the mystery unraveled, loved seeing how the three worlds would collide. Trigger warning for those sensitive to domestic violence. That was hard to experience not being given a heads up! I saw a lot of comments on here hating on the narrator.. I am a biased huge fan of Imogen Church. I’ve listened to a lot by her. She’s fantastic! To have heard so many British novels with her and now he’s her American accent- she’s so talented! Yes, the Cora voice was a little over the top.. but otherwise, well done, Imogen.

Amazing!

I’m a huge Imogene Church fan and she hit the ball out of the park on this one. She nailed every cheat after and did a great job making sure the funny parts made this a book. Great book!

Revenge is Sweet

There are several unexpected twists and turns in this satisfying story of wealthy neighbors, drugs, infidelity and abuse. I enjoyed the characters, who were not necessarily as originally portrayed.

Fantastic Narration

I didn't want it to end! The narrator's different accents made the characters come alive.

Another Good One

This was a good story, but I do not like Imogen Church's American character voices. She is an outstanding narrator, but her depiction of her neighbors across the pond are off.
