Love the concept

I really love the concept of looking and finding “who’s” to help instead of looking at “how” to do something.

Story
There is a competitive advantage out there, arguably more powerful than any other. Is it superior strategy? Faster innovation? Smarter employees? No, New York Times best-selling author, Patrick Lencioni, argues that the seminal difference between successful companies and mediocre ones has little to do with what they know and how smart they are and more to do with how healthy they are.

Story
Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

Story
As high achievers, we’ve been conditioned to believe that the path to success is paved with relentless work. That if we want to overachieve, we have to overexert, overthink, and overdo. That if we aren’t perpetually exhausted, we’re not doing enough. But lately, working hard is more exhausting than ever. And the more depleted we get, the more effort it takes to make progress. Stuck in an endless loop of “Zoom, eat, sleep, repeat”, we’re often working twice as hard to achieve half as much.

One of the best books on Sales!
Reviewed: 09-04-23
I read and listen to Audible a lot. I generally listen to Audible when I’m doing something else. Books I think I’m going to be interested in or really learn something from, I order so I can highlight and take notes. I was so wrong to think that this book would be one I could just casually listen to while doing other things. I have never paused, hit rewind and play something over more in any other book I’ve listened to. I have pages of notes if taken on my phone and used the bookmark within Audible in so many places. As a person who has been in the Sales industry for so long, I greatly appreciate and recommend this book. I’ll also be purchasing one so I can read, highlight and take more notes. These are things that I can put into practice. Thank you Jeb Blount!

Story
Amazon is the fastest company ever to reach $100 billion in sales, and they didn’t reach that landmark by staying in their comfort zone. Risk-taking is the key that unlocked the door to growth at Amazon, but those risks were (and are) intentional, calculated, and strategic. Thomas Edison believed: “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” Like Edison, Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos has also linked experimentation and failure with growth and success.
