The book kept me interested and the narrators were good. I enjoyed it and would recommend it despite the fact that I didn’t care for the ending. I wouldn’t call it a twist, but rather unrealistic.

It’s a NO for me

I’m sure some will enjoy this book, not my cup of tea. Outlandish storyline and not so likable characters; even the protagonist. The twists weren’t all that twisty to me but I managed to finish it.

It’s a question everyone asks themselves, but few have to face in real life. English teacher Richard Boyle certainly never thought he would find himself talking down a former student intent on harming others, but when Mark LeDrew shows up at Richard’s school with a bomb strapped to his chest, Richard immediately jumps into action. Thanks to some quick thinking, he averts a major tragedy and is hailed as a hero, but not all the attention focused on him is positive.

Tess Strebel can’t recognize her own face. She can’t recognize her home. Her bedroom is unfamiliar. And she can’t remember the handsome stranger lying next to her in bed. A stranger who claims he’s her husband. Every morning, she wakes up unable to remember most of the last decade. Including her own wedding.

I didn’t enjoy it as much as others, but worth the purchase. I found it too ‘Groundhog Day-ish’ and pretty much predicted the outcome. Some may enjoy it more so would still recommend.

Frank Szatowski is shocked when his daughter, Maggie, calls him for the first time in three years. He was convinced that their estrangement would become permanent. He’s even more surprised when she invites him to her upcoming wedding in New Hampshire. Frank is ecstatic, and determined to finally make things right. He arrives to find that the wedding is at a private estate—very secluded, very luxurious, very much out of his league. It seems that Maggie failed to mention that she’s marrying Aidan Gardner, the son of a famous tech billionaire.

Surprised
Reviewed: 10-06-24
I’m a bit surprised at all the high reviews, but respect everyone’s opinion. I found that the book read like a Nancy Drew mystery. I wasn’t drawn in until the last quarter where the surprise was revealed. I think at least a third of the dialogue could have been eliminated and you wouldn’t have lost any of the context.
