About this listen

Palmer Lewis married a liar.

But just how deadly are his lies?

Shortly after marrying her soulmate and the birth of their son, the lies begin.

First, it's the phone calls, always held in secret, always deleted from his phone.

Then it's his odd disappearances and the little nagging voice in her head screaming: Something is not right.

When Palmer follows her gut - and her husband - she catches him with an unfamiliar woman in the park and in his biggest lie thus far. Learning from her past, she hatches a plan to protect herself and their child. But when her husband and son disappear one afternoon and don't return, Palmer must retrace her steps and dig deep to discover the truth before it's too late.

Who is the mysterious woman her husband lied about meeting? Who knows what happened to her family? Who's lying?

In this twisted psychological thriller, the better question is, who isn't?

The beginning was a little confusing... didn't pull me in immediately but the more I got into it, I love the book and highly recommend. Some of the southern accents are absolutely terrible, but that is easy to look past. Could have done away will the race card being pulled in chapter 25.. but other than that, great story line. There were points in which I wanted to reach into the book and personally kick "this other persons" ass!! I don't want to spoil anything so just read the book!

Loved the book

a five-star must read and listen! This was hands down one of my favorite audio books. The narrator was wonderful and did so good with this story. The story itself is so well-written. I was absolutely blown away and was not expecting the twist. It flowed really well and I really enjoyed it.

A must read!!

Didn’t really think the characters were fleshed out that much. Fair story - she’s done better.

Meh?

Very intriguing from the beginning. Many twist and turns. Until the very end. Loved it

Twist and turns.

The realness of the feelings of the characters. Underestimated how much I would like this book

Great, kept me intrigued and didn’t end as I thought!

I loved that you couldn’t really figure it all out. It seemed like an easy guess but totally took a turn!

A lot of unexpected twists!

It was an OK storyline ended differently than I thought. That’s the only thing that saved it short easy read. It’s worth the time.

Meh…. Interesting enough

As I listened, I was struck by how simple and often silly this audiobook was. The premise and plot details were shallow compared to the better “crime thriller” novels that are available. I enjoy the novels that clearly require the author to conduct research and include careful consideration of the plot angles. That’s what makes a thriller worth reading/listening to. You want something that makes you think and keep guessing, not something that is predictable and where every action occurs as a result of convenient occurrences. I would not recommend this audiobook to anyone and am disappointed that I wasted money on it.

Too simplistic

Entertaining, with some good twists, but not amazing… main character is very dumb. Narrator did a good job.

Good but not great
