When Kate wins an item at her children’s elementary school auction - an all-inclusive trip to SeaView at Sandpiper Bay - she thinks it’s just what her family needs after a decade of career disappointments and a marriage on its last legs. She has no reason to believe that said trip is a Fyre Festival-level fraud and, in fact, the catalyst to her unraveling. But it is. Oh, but it is.

A story of awareness & growth, while being wonderfully crude and entertaining! I can definitely relate to the character-being ungrateful for what you have because you have a lot of hurt and anger to process. Really enjoyed the story and as always, Christina Applegate killed it! Love her!!!

Not one of her best
Reviewed: 04-24-22
I have enjoyed all of Gemma Rogers books, but this one was lacking. The main character was very naive and the plot was very predictable. Even with the understanding that love or lust can cause people to make bad decisions, the character’s decisions were ridiculous. And there were many cringe-worthy parts due to the love interest being a student.
