Story
I'm young, carefree, and my job as the assistant to Holt, manager and owner of the Goliaths of Wrestling, means I'm surrounded by half-naked beefcake wrestlers all day. Of course, I'm going to be interested in… getting to know them all better. It would be, like, illegal for me not to lust after them all, right? There's just one hurdle I have to get over first before I can… get to know the wrestlers in the way I want. And that hurdle makes me really, really freaking nervous.

I swear this series just gets better and better! If you’re looking for all the fuzzy feels while simultaneously swooning and laughing then this series is definitely for you!
If you read the first book then you already have met both of these characters. I knew I was going to love Larkin from his playful banter and laissez-faire attitude and I definitely wasn’t disappointed! Seb was a bit more broody and quiet in the first book and I LOVED his character development. Both of their development honestly! Talk about a match made in kinky smex contract heaven 😂
From the start it felt like they were one another’s better half. They both helped one another work through their insecurities even if they didn’t realize they had them and helped them feel more confident to put them selves out there.
Seb is older so you do get the delicious age gap trope but he is so mindful of the power dynamics and making sure Larkin is never in a position to feel pressured and I swear I was SWOONING the whole dang book over this man…well wolf 😂
The narration was perfection and they both did an amazing job! If I had to image how both characters sounded it would definitely be like Liam Dicosimo and Michael Ferraiuolo!

Story
According to the FBI, I was considered a serial murderer after three kills. What do they call me after fifty-two? They call me the Silencer. One final bullet would have been all it took to stop me from taking another soul, and I would have been doing Meridian City a service by pulling that trigger. An angel crying for help stopped me, and that night, I took three lives for her. Then three turned into eight. Then eight turned into twenty. Twenty turned into twenty-one. Twenty-one turned into twenty-three.

Want a book that is going to seem like it is predictable until literally the 96% point for you to get SLAPPED with a huge gotcha at the very end??!
I don’t know about you, but I definitely did! I read this book late because it was hyped up a lot and books like that always make me nervous going in with too high of expectations. This book was honestly a 4 ⭐️read for me for a majority of the book. I loved the author's writing style, but it was feeling quite predictable. That’s on me for going in with expectations but still a very good experience. Then, the end came.
To say I’m still reeling over that ending. I listened to this book 2 weeks ago and I’m still floored! Kudos to the author because I genuinely believe that massive twist at the end truly made this book epic. Very sad but absolutely epic. I didn’t cry, but I’ve probably never been more shocked. I loved it.
If you’re thinking about reading this book, I highly encourage doing the audio! The narration definitely takes it to the next level, especially with the plot twists.

Story
I'm twenty-six years old, and I want to die. So when I wake up at the hospital with my brother weeping over me, I know my life is about to change. What I didn't expect was to get a nurse with cruel eyes and a morbid sense of humor that surpasses my own. I'm even more surprised when I arrive at Harlow Sanctum and realize that my brother selected an unorthodox rehabilitation center that rooms people based on their treatment plan. And my roommate is none other than the man with cruel eyes I met the day prior.

Death is cruel. It’s unforgiving and brutal. It robbed me of the life I wanted to live and stole what little hope I had for the future. I was supposed to be something great. I was supposed to have it all. But a single bullet changed everything. There’s a war brewing, and this time, it’s personal. Luckily, a bitch like me doesn’t stay down for long.

In regards to the narration the narrators did a phenomenal job! Too good actually because I’m feeling far too many emotions from how passionate they were!

I’m not attracted to men.. Or so I thought before I slammed into Nikolai Sokolov.. A mafia heir, a notorious bastard, and a violent monster.. An ill-fated meeting puts me in his path. And just like that, he has his sights set on me. A quiet artist, a golden boy, and his enemy’s twin brother. He doesn’t seem to care that the odds are stacked against us. In fact, he sets out to break my steel-like control and blur my limits. I thought my biggest worry was being noticed by Nikolai. I’m learning the hard way that being wanted by this beautiful nightmare is much worse.

I turned into a freaking puddle for the absolute love and adoration and psycho devotion Niko had for Bran! This book was everything! My absolute favorite in the series so far and I can’t express that enough! The narration just made me love both characters that much more! 😭
I can’t review this without going off on a million tangents and spoiling the whole book so all I’ll say is that this baby was a masterpiece and I loved every dang second of it! I hope you give it a listen because doing the audio was 1000000% worth it!

ALC Review (Minor Spoilers)
I’m a firm believer you can never go wrong with a Hockey Romance, and Kandi Steiner did not disappoint!
Vince Tanev is your typical hotshot rookie. He’s cocky, flirtatious, rich, and determined to make Maven his! Unfortunately for him, Maven has already been down the pro athlete road and has no intention of making that mistake again. They are truly complete opposites and come from two very different worlds. Did I mention they work together? As in they are forced to see one another basically 24/7 since Maven is documenting his life for her social media career. Yeah, them getting together is basically a walking red flag. They should definitely steer clear. 😏
This is what I would consider a lighthearted fun read, and I loved it! I was swooning left and right over Vince’s character. He’s sweet, funny, respectful and knows what he wants! He also has a filthy mouth which is always a huge plus! 😈
Maven is quite different. She’s independent, down to earth, and playful, but she is struggling with a lot of past emotional trauma. Man did her ex do a number on her! She loves deeply and unfortunately for her she gave that love to the wrong person. Even though she is insecure and uncertain a lot of the time she can’t help but want to open up and fall for Vince. The chemistry and tension was electric and I loved their snarky and witty banter.
Both narrators gave an excellent performance. Megan Wicks were very compelling and had me in my feels anytime Maven second guessed herself or Vince’s actions. Edward Black was exactly what I’d imagine Vince to sound like, and his performance had me loving his character even more!
I highly recommend giving this audio a listen!

A beautiful opposites attract story!
Reviewed: 07-29-23
I enjoyed this storyline and the narrators for this duet! King of Wrath is one of my favorites by the author and although this one didn’t top that, the storyline is still beautiful! You have Isabella who is independent, strong willed, but also insecure. She is just trying to do her best with the life she has been given but often doesn’t feel like what she gives is good enough. In comes Kai! In many ways he is the complete opposite of Isabella. She’s a bit quirky and fun where he is more straight laced and to the point. He is brilliant and definitely a perfectionist with anything he does or strives to do! He’s never really failed at anything but he puts in the work to be successful. He definitely was in need of a dose of unpredictable and Isabella is definitely unpredictable! Although their story wasn’t perfect and dealt with prior emotional baggage and insecurities they truly did bring the best out of one another! Kai was genuinely, supportive, caring, and just perfect for Isabella! He brought out the best in her and helped her find her inspiration to write! I loved his character!!
As for the narration I’d do a 3.75⭐️ It took me a bit to get into it but I did ultimately enjoy them both! I enjoyed the narrators for KOW a bit more but David and Emery truly did do a great job! Definitely loving this series and can’t wait for the third installment!

Whew this was a wild ride and I was here for all of it! We love friends who can share and Chad and Jase get an A in that category! If you’ve read anything else from the author you already know things are going to be spicy and chaotic, and that is exactly what was delivered in this book.
This book follows Ashley who is just trying to live her best life while attending college. She lives with her boyfriend who she has loved for years and her diabolical stepbrother and naturally they hate one another. Did I mention she’s also in love with her boyfriends best friend and they’ve been sneaking around since he has a girlfriend. If you’ve read the author prior, you know this is only the tip of the iceberg.
This book was honestly nothing but secrets, lies, and a whole lot of deceit from honestly all parties. Was it super toxic? Absolutely! Was I hear for all of it? 100%, I highly recommend! I was truly taken off guard with one of the MMC and some things he was forced to do based on his duties to his secret society but if you take a step back it truly all makes sense.
I’m dying to see how this all plays out. The way the story ended had my anxiety at 100 and I can’t say the road to the hopefully HEA is going to be pretty but I need answers ASAP! I did this as an audiobook and I highly recommend! Both authors narrated the characters perfectly! I am always hit or miss with narrators but this was a success for me!
