Story
A new PWF adventure series from Heloise Hull, the author of Making Midlife Magic. For those who like their rosé chilled and their demons hot! The last time the police knocked on my door, I lost my husband. Now they’re back, and this time, it’s about my mother. She’s fine, for now, but her mind is failing her fast and her body isn’t far behind. As usual, she refuses my help, so I reluctantly agree to visit her homeland one last time, a tiny village in Southern France. The healing waters of Lourdes are world-renown, and that's before I’ve infused them with my own magic. I’ve ...

I loved the story despite it starting off a bit slow for me. The AI narration is terrible. I would rather pay more for a book and hear a real person than the robotic sounds. It definitely takes away from delight in listening to an audio book. I will go on kindle to read the next book.

Story
It was supposed to be easy: find the drug maker. Find her, and drag her back to the dragons to deal with. She deserves death for what she's done. For someone like Weston, the best alpha in the world, the one who shuts people up just by walking in the room, it would've been. Until he learns what she is. Finding a fated mate is nearly impossible. Very few are able to do it. But the call of their bond is unmistakable. Against all odds, and in the worst situation imaginable, he's found his true mate. Her.

The narration was well done and the story captured my interest from the beginning and I look forward to the next book. Towards the end of the story the MC started getting on my nerves with her shortsighted decisions made from her emotions and some inconsistencies in her actions. **don't read past here due to spoilers** It made no sense to me that she would try to ger her friend back by sneaking into the city with no real plan or knowledge of the place she was going. Then her hesitation and eventual refusal to kill the Captain that has been abusive towards her and others and caused the whole problem yet she could find it in her to look into the Prince's face to watch him die? Those kinds of things made me rate the story 4 out of 5 stars. However, overall it is still a good listen and I will be purchasing the next book!!

The story line was interesting as were the characters. The narration was excellently done. It would have been 5 stars if it didn't seem like the MC seemed to devolve in maturity as the story progresses and the duskwalker seemed to need validation from her excessively. The way he worried about her being mad at him annoyed me as it didn't seem to quite fit the rest of his character. I know it was the writer trying to express his soft spot for her, vulnerabilities from past hurt, and all that but it was overdone in my opinion. The story did keep my attention the entire book but I probably won't read the next one.

Story
Edgar does not cheat in flower shows. He might use a magically enhanced serum, but anyone could do that. It's not his fault the other competitors don’t know magic exists! But when the Ivy House crew goes to the pre-show to support him, it becomes clear that someone should've been watching Edgar much more carefully. What he's done is way worse than overgrown flora. While Jessie is dealing with that, she gets a shock as she discovers photos of her ex with his girlfriend…turned fiancée. And while the flood of emotions can be ignored, the desire to show off Austin on social media is not.

This little novella was just what I needed! Loved it from start to finish just as I have loved each book in this series!! I can't wait for the next release in this series. I would absolutely love to see this story done as a Netflix series. This series with all the different characters has come to life in a way that is indescribable. If you haven't read this series, please do so. Lots of laughs, bewildering but relatable moments, and adventure. It is the perfect story....much like going on the perfect date. 😉

I'm sure I have another review somewhere here but this is worth another! I LOVE this series! The character development makes them all feel like your own dysfunctional family. I liked the 7.5 addition and I feel that an 8.5 should be done this time for Elliot Graves and the Captain re-emerging into the mage scene. Also *in my most annoying whining voice* when are we getting book 9?!!!!

Story
My five boyfriends - yes, five - are being much too patient with me. That's pissing a few people off. It seems that when living with a pack of wolves, there are certain expectations for the alpha's mate...and I suck at this. A few months ago, I had no idea shifters even existed! I just wanted a safe home, and this is it, although it's not at all what I imagined. When an ex-girlfriend decides to make my life a living hell, pack rules say that if I want to keep my place, I need to win my own fights. That's not easy when she's young, fit, beautiful, and a wolf. And I'm not.

I liked the story, but MC is annoying with all of her inner angst.
She waffles back and forth so much and acts like she has a foot in the grave because she 40. A good 6 hours of listening time could've been reduced if the story didn't constantly go back to her indecisiveness. The storyline and other characters are great, and I will read the next one to see what happens. I would recommend, just know she MC is annoying, lol.

Story
Being 40 is supposed to be freaking fabulous, not fatal. Taking on a daunting new job minus the description isn’t the smartest move I’ve ever made, even if it was to save a friend. Hopefully, it doesn’t turn out to be the stupidest...or deadliest. Why can’t things stay the way they were? I love my old job. Supergluing ghosts back together and solving their issues is its own reward. Not to mention, I’m seriously good at it. Although, I must say, I’m ridiculously excited for the new Death Counselor’s arrival in nine months....

Okay, so while I have loved the story but did not care too much for the MC (she truly just made my ass itch at times), this book I grew to like her and her development as a person. A few bittersweet moments that made tears well up, the story is very satisfying and I'm looking forward to this next turn of events!!

Story
Never in my 40 years did I think my new normal would be gluing body parts back onto ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue and a strong stomach. Never thought I’d date the Grim Reaper and that I would be the one to blow it. I mean, how idiotic does one have to be to get dumped by a dude who lives in Hell? Going about business as usual is not usual in any way. No one is who they seem to be...and to be honest, neither am I. What I’d known to be true has turned out to be myth. The angels are frightening, and the demons are hot.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

I really liked the story overall. Granny is too cute. the MC got on my nerves a bit with the constant disbelief and towards when she did all that assuming, I don't want to say specifics and ruin it for someone reading this review. Lots of funny moments, bittersweet, and some swoon-worthy moments as well. I finished this book in one day and about to start the next one!! It's definitely a good read.
