This is a wonderful audiobook, written by an author who clearly understands the the emotional and practical difficulties of step-parenting. Written in an empathetic, yet realistic and encouraging tone, I found the book to be full of great tips for managing those awkward conversations and situations and moving forward with realistic expectations and respect from both sides.

I found this to be a lovely audiobook to listen to - it is full of great advice but is delivered in such a gently encouraging manner. There are lots of tips, with helpful actionable steps, to help you improve your emotional intelligence and thus improve relationships, both personal and professional. Just about everyone will find at least a few chapters that resonate with their particular challenges in life.

i really liked this audiobook and how it focuses on the small steps that will have the biggest impact. When one is burned out and exhausted, completely overhauling one's life just isn't realistic or even effective. This book recognises that sometimes doing less has more effect. I really enjoyed and resonated with the chapters regarding establishing boundaries and rediscovering a sense of purpose into my busy life. There are also steps on how to sustain your new habits. Well worth a listen!

I have listened to a few of the audiobooks by the same author in this series, and I have found them all to be lovely books, narrated in an especially soothing and relaxing manner. This one is no exception - the stories are gentle, but also thought provoking, but not so much that you don't find yourself relaxing whilst listening. They just hold your attention so that you are not distracted by external influences, so you gently relax and destress. A great listen.

Teens don't want to listen to their parents, so may be they will listen to this! A really great beginner's guide to all things financial. Really they should be teaching the kids this stuff in school. If they can master this at a young age they will save themselves so much trouble - really good narration and hopefully some tips the kids will pick up on. Great for young adults and anyone just starting out too.
