Story
No one loves Christmas more than editorial assistant Eve Pilkins. But when her boss hits her with a huge deadline on Christmas Day, it looks like Eve's favourite time of the year might be cancelled. Armed with as much enthusiasm as she can muster, she travels to the coldest part of England, tasked with ensuring brooding author Edward Priest finishes his latest novel on time. The festive spirit at Cranberry Cross is as dark as the house itself; without a fairy light in sight, it looks like only a Christmas miracle can save this one. Will Eve be up to the task?

This book is very charming and has inspiration from many of the beloved classics wrapped into one. It's a feel good novel, but also tackles some difficult topics in a respectful way. Great narration as well!

I loved this story. I got hallmark movie vibes at first, in a good way, but this story also touched on some sensitive topics such as controlling and abusive behaviors in a real way. I thought this book was empowering!!! A woman who has lived for everyone else finally learns how to be herself and be happy! I loved the humor and didn't find it offensive at all! I look forward to listening/ reading more from this author.

I really liked this story!!! The story is unique and thoughtful. The narration was excellent!!! Eric is on the run with his daughters and at first we don't know why. As the story progresses, the parallel between their lives and the spite house become more clear. I liked how the story went back and forth from different perspectives and I feel like it brought the story together. I look forward to reading or listening to other works by this author.

The story starts off where the first one ended. The story of Laia, Elias, and Helene; each with their own unique voices. There is sadness, sacrifice, and betrayal as the story takes unexpected turns. A good sequel to the continuing story
