Althea is exciting and brilliant

I liked this one better than the Richmond Theft. Better story telling, pieces came together better. I am not a huge fan of romance novels but Crookshank brought humor and Althea finally figuring her heart.

Intriguing

Story and performance were great. Billie Piper’s performance kept me going as this isn’t my type of story. Maybe I was in the mood for something else. Anyway, I didn’t know what happened until the end. I pegged someone else, but it all tied together, although sad when the original crime is resolved.

Carrie is in her early 20’s and has never set roots down. She comes from a broken home, criminal dad, a brother who died in a car accident but she has relatives that love her and are giving her what she needs. I enjoyed Carrie, and how she evolved from the start of the story. It was hard to tell which other male characters were speaking. I don’t know why there is a ghost in the story. That was never developed or explained- but it was one of the reasons why I selected this book. It worth reading and to keep reading I’d like to know more about future love interest . I enjoyed seeing her go from insecure to confident professional as she uses her education and personality.
