only made it about 2 hours in. Story was meh but I was still at the beginning...until the unexpected graphic narration of oral sex. Would have been nice to get a heads up before purchasing what I was expecting to be a different style litrpg.

The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. My name is Charlotte Locke, and I’m an analyst for Section 47, a secret government agency that tracks terrorists, criminals, and other paramortal bad guys who want to unleash their abilities on an unsuspecting mortal world. I have a magical form of synesthesia that senses danger and uncovers lies - making me a stealthy operative. I’m trudging through another day when one of Section’s cleaners - assassins - takes an interest in me. I don’t need my synesthesia to realize that he is extremely dangerous.

The Beginning After the End: Publisher's Pack 2 contains books 3 and 4 of The Beginning After the End series, Beckoning Fates and Horizon's Edge. Though Arthur Leywin would like nothing more than to pursue his studies at the esteemed Xyrus Academy, where he hopes to push his already potent magical abilities to new plateaus and perhaps discover something more about his reincarnation into this world, he finds the politics of the school’s halls even more challenging to navigate than those of the council chambers he once inhabited as King Grey.

I'm not going to lie... I got this mainly because of Ray Porter. And he didn't disappoint. It was very enjoyable to listen to.
The story was good..had a bit of 60's throw back air to it. And the story was refreshing and not the same old rehash of the basics. I would recommend it if you are looking for something entertaining.

Interesting MC Class....

Started out with an interesting premise and MC Class.
But got more and more difficult to listen to as time went on. The last 2 hours really dragged. It really seemed like a fresh, new author as the flow was choppy and forced at times.
It was OK. And a decent time filler waiting on other books. I don't think I will continue if there is a next book.

All sorts of magical monsters can be found inside the towers. Even treasure, magic, and superhuman strength can be acquired. The problem is that the towers aren't a friendly place. Even worse, the towers sometimes release waves of monsters to attack Earth. In the year 2083, there are only a hundred survivors.
