About this listen

I never had any memories of family in my old world. Growing up in an environment where no one truly loved me - and, in turn, being callous and distant to everyone - made me an unrivaled fighter, but a crappy person. When I came to this world, my new parents taught me something I'd never known. I may not be the strongest fighter or mage in this world, but I'm a hell of a lot better person now than I ever would've been in my previous life.

In order to protect his loved ones, the mage Arthur Leywin must reveal the truth of his identity. If he is to fulfill his role in the war between the godlike asuras and the demonic Vritra, he must leave those he hopes to protect and travel to the land of deities and dragons.

First, however, he must escape. Arthur stands before the kings and queens of Dicathen, accused of a crime he did not commit. It will take an act of the gods to save him from having his magic stripped away, leaving him powerless in the war to come. Fortunately for Arthur, he can count the gods among his friends.

This is a great story and they couldn't have picked a better person to narrate it. Can't wait to listen to book 6.

Incredible

story telling feels forced and annoying in this one. story was rushed and jumped from situation to situation. the others were great so far

terrible compared to the others

Once again the story rolls on in a well written way. The only things that bother me from time to time is the lack of information about some parts. I do appreciate the time skipping and not being bogged down. But to the same point sometimes a little more information would go a long way. That does nothing to harm the story though.

Great continuation

the training was great, and I understood all of that part, honestly. a bit dry at parts BUT. I'm disappointed with all of the POV swapping it felt like bad timing to keep switching, and on top of that, it just felt out of place? not at all satisfied with the extra character viewpoint in this particular book. If the POV wasn't roughly 6 plus chapters, it wouldn't be as bad, but damn it was dry boring and reminded me of the energizer bunny it kept going and going and going...

I enjoyed it, BUT I had some issues.

I thought for sure this was going to be a lazy, hero loses powers and has to defy the odds lazy story arch but, i was so happy i stuck with it.

I'm not going to lie, the consistent use of cliff hangers is becoming a bit annoying to me. It feels as though nothing is truly getting resolved when cliff hangers are constantly used. But, I suppose it's doing it's job as I keep coming back for more, so...yeah. Despite that, I like the series and truly hope that book 6 and 7 will be on audible soon.

Not Bad

My review is as previously stated on book 1-2. This is an unbelievable amazing series that you will be begging for more to come.
