I don’t like the way Zachary was portrayed. His character traits weren’t quite balanced. I almost didn’t want to like him. The constant praise of George didn’t help his cause either 🙄. Holly really got on my nerves! Every 30mn, George this, George that. I didn’t like then together at all. The story had potential though. I loved Landor’s narration.

A little different

This love story is not the typical one. The duke falls in love with a dressmaker meanwhile he was kinda (but not totally)promised to another. The way the relationship developed through the book wasn’t in favor of the female character. Every now and then, her past came up, like she was the most immoral person. Then there’s the duke treating the girl like an itch he had to scratch for almost half of the book.

Lorraine health is just an amazing writer! 😭 The story kept me on my toes. Hugh and Penelope were a beautiful pair. When the secrets were revealed, I screamed. When I tell you, I was shook! 😂😂😂. Let’s not forget Kate reading. She’s just so good! She is one of my favorite narrators ever!

Gabriel and Felicity were beautiful together! The book started perfectly then of course everything was rushed like crazy. Why are all the book of this series so short?! Again I wish there was more character development throughout the book. Stella messed it up for me again with the mediocre narration. Bring back Derick Perkins solo narration! 🗣
