It did not take long for the “fictional Red Hat haters” to dive into fear-mongering, gaslighting, and MSM-parroted talking points. I truly don’t mind politics being added/addressed in fiction, but this is FAR from someone actually creating their own antagonist(s). I’m hoping that people will eventually start investigating and thinking for themselves instead of merely being satisfied by the media spoonfeeding them out-of-context, edited, or downright false information. But, the election is now over, so I guess perhaps more people HAVE awoken!

Finally, A Decent End of the World Story!!
Reviewed: 09-21-24
I loved that I wasn't peppered with horrible language every thirty seconds! The author did an excellent job of choosing language that was not excessively crude or indecent. I felt that this intentionality was balanced out by the fact that the story DOESN’T hold back in other areas such as self-protection, assault, desperate actions by desperate people, and the like.
As a Christian, I enjoyed the sprinkling of conversations about faith, family, Spiritual beliefs, and life transformation. These subjects didn't come off as being inserted into the story forcefully or as a veiled attempt to introduce religious undertones just because the author could. Religion is an important part of life for countless individuals the world over and it was refreshing to see it given the same amount of attention as various other areas of everyday life.
The narration was top-notch, smoothly flowing, and succeeded at evoking a wide range of intended emotional responses throughout the story. I’d never had the pleasure of listening to any other audiobooks done by this narrator, but I can promise that this will not be the last!
In all, the story is an intriguing tale of a family made up of vastly different individuals trying to reunite after a devastating event brings the country to its knees. Past transgressions come to light, morals, and values are tested, and the worst of humanity's dark side is on full display. Be prepared to strap in tight for this one!

I went into this audiobook with as open a mind as possible. Not my typical genre, but it ended up being a great “read!” The plot kept me glued to my phone, guessing and questioning and thoroughly entertained. Strong characters and good narration cinched the deal for this listener! Give it a listen and you’ll be glad you did!

Me? I was an innocent bystander in a shootout between mobsters and spawned monsters. Thankfully, the System granted me the power to bring forth monsters from the void. With this ability to command magical beasts, I might just live out the apocalypse. Together with a ragtag group of survivors, we're wading through the mayhem while searching for somewhere safe. Somewhere that monsters aren't desperately trying to kill us, where the opportunistic among humanity aren't looking for easy XP.

Await the Apocalypse in Laughter!!
Reviewed: 05-01-24
I found this book to be quite entertaining and hilarious! Unfortunately, the two are not always mutually exclusive when dealing with audiobooks. The characters are fun, the storyline is well-presented, and the narration is done quite well. If you like a good story full of action and laughter-inducing wittiness, then this listen is definitely for you!

I was iffy on this one until about the end of the second chapter. It’s a very different series, that’s for sure. However, if you give it a chance, you’ll discover a lot of heart, determination, and enough laughs to keep things just light enough to check all of your listening boxes. The narration was done very well for this particular series.

Story
Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake. But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. He’s already got a sword of unfathomable power, but it’s damaged and leaking world-annihilating mana, so he’s in the market for a new one. Possibly six. The more the better, really.

A Humorous Action Drama
Reviewed: 03-09-24
I found this book to be extremely funny and fascinating. Just when I thought I had a handle on the next hurdle or twist or flow of the story, it would completely change! Typically, such things would distract and disrupt the story for me. However, the author (and narrator) is on top of their game. Such a fun, quirky little tale with a lot of heart and a wonderful sense of adventure. The book never takes itself too seriously, but never devolves into total absurdity. If you need a good story with lighthearted humor, but with great purpose and even a couple of heart tears shed, then this is a book for you. Don’t pass the one up!

The story is very different from most of my previous reads. I really enjoyed the action and dialogue scenes. Found myself chuckling at the main characters responses a couple of times. The narrator did a good job voicing the characters throughout the book. I like the unique storyline and absolutely loved how well the story unfolded. Can’t wait to check out the next in the series. Give it a chance and you’ll not feel letdown.

An Intriguingly Beautiful Tale
Reviewed: 03-09-24
I was skeptical going in, but this book rapidly made me a believer. I am particularly hard to please on narration. However, the narrator of the story added so very much to a tale already immensely interesting and entertaining. It’s refreshing to stumble upon such a uniquely written fantasy novel. The characters are well defined, the magic system is unlike anything I’ve read before, and the way all of these elements flow together is just plain awesome. I started the book as just a time killer. A story to play in the background as I went about my day. But, the darn thing is so good, I can’t get any work done without stopping to listen! I’m so glad that I found this author, narrator, and of course, this particular book. Already looking forward to the other works from both parties. If you like a great story with the narrator perfectly suited for the feel and flow of said story, do not miss this gem!
