Narration was awkward

I struggled with the male narrator. He just created too many moving parts and by him speaking in different voices for known characters, these characters just got muddled for me. Not my favorite by far.

Story
Aiden Sinclair was a commercial fisherman before he suddenly came into his billionaire inheritance - not that he’s complaining. Being a Sinclair does have its perks. But things were simpler before the money. He may have been dirt poor, but he loved his job and fully intended to always come back from the sea to his girlfriend, Skye Weston, so they could move toward something more permanent. Or at least that had been the plan...until he returned from a two-month fishing trip to discover she had moved away and was marrying somebody else. It tore his world apart.

I don't agree with the negative reviews about the pacing on this. I liked the book a lot. I did, however, feel like there was something else that was going to happen that never did. This could have been a better book had she written more into the story about her past and maybe have it catch up with their present. just saying.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old". Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true.

Narrator can make or break a good story and really should have reviewers before releasing the book.
I loved this story. The redemption of Anna and the backstory of Reaper in additions to all of the other storylines going on was one of the better books in this series.
However, the male narrator took Reaper from a Gruff and Stuff guy to Pu$$y that was never in the first 3 stories just from the voice alone. The female narrators voice was deeper than his when she was voicing Reaper. Also he read his lines like he was reading each.word.with.a.period.in.between.even.during.the.sexy.scenes. I just 30 seconded through the sexy scenes after a while.
I'm sure he is a great narrator for other books, just not for an MC book and especially not one where we've already had good Reaper voices.
I would have enjoyed this Soooo much more, but really I just can't recommend this now as an audio book.

Story
I had it all growing up. Popularity, beauty, great friends, and a perfect family. But then one day, it all changed - now I'm blind. I've never let that stop me, though. Life is an adventure, and I believe in making the best out of every moment. I spend my days with a job I love, online friends, and a sexy new book boyfriend every week. I know in my heart that someday, my own prince charming will come along and appreciate me for exactly who I am - I won't settle for anything less. Meeting Tease seems like the beginning of my fairy tale...until he opens his mouth.

Loved the story. It showed a lot of depth of what two people may go through in this situation. However, the narrator was just so awful that It was distracting and I would have to keep going back and re listening to a few minutes every other chapter. It really has me turned off to the next books. I have too many books in my reading queue and so will now have to find another author for my audible queue. I really liked her Blackstone series but read them. It's such a shame.

New narrator ruined the book
Reviewed: 08-23-17
I loved the book, the twists, etc. But this new narrator is soooooooo over the top that I may have to actually read the rest of these books since I see that he is narrating the rest and getting equally bad reviews. I'm so disappointed when a series is ruined liked this. I had to rewind over and over again because I was so distracted. I also had a very hard time with his voices. He barely tried to distinguish characters.

Good, but long.
Reviewed: 12-16-16
I enjoyed this book, but it was long. I listened to it on audio and thought to myself that if this was made into a movie it would be so much better because all of the drama Presley has in her head would be written out. I do get all the issues, I do, I'm a young widow and mother, but it was drawn out.
