Publisher's summary

A Wall Street Journal bestseller.

There’s nothing richer than a second chance in the steamy second book of New York Times bestselling author J.S. Scott’s Accidental Billionaires series.

Aiden Sinclair was a commercial fisherman before he suddenly came into his billionaire inheritance - not that he’s complaining. Being a Sinclair does have its perks. But things were simpler before the money. He may have been dirt poor, but he loved his job and fully intended to always come back from the sea to his girlfriend, Skye Weston, so they could move toward something more permanent. Or at least that had been the plan...until he returned from a two-month fishing trip to discover she had moved away and was marrying somebody else. It tore his world apart.

Now Skye’s back in town after nearly a decade. She’s a single mother and just as beautiful as ever. However, for some odd reason, she appears to hate him, when it should be Aiden who wants nothing to do with the woman who dumped him. Unfortunately, more than nine years of separation have done nothing to put a damper on their white-hot chemistry. But even if those feelings are real, Skye has been keeping secrets. The truth of the past is about to come to light, and there is so much more at stake than just Aiden’s heart.

Finally!!

Whoa that was definitely a lot to take but damn it was good even with the mess. Oh and cute little Miya. Skye, Aiden and Miya deserve some happiness but I understand the mixed feelings going on with Aiden. I so enjoyed the craziness of the story and can’t wait to see the next sibling get some happiness

Just. Wow.

I thought the first book in this series was good (and it was!), but holy sibling screw-up, this one was awesome! I loved the fire and the heart between Aiden and Skye. Their passion flames throughout the pages of this story, even when they loathe each other. This story caught me from the beginning and simply didn't let me go. I already loved the characters from the previous book, but finding out their story and "watching" as they worked it out was like a gift.

Wow, just WOW!

Another masterpiece by J. S. Scott! Aiden and Skye's story will have you on the edge of your seat. The emotions run high through out the entire story. Their trials and tribulations remind us we are only human. Forgiveness, moving forward, and love are the roots to this story.

One of the best in the series

Skye is not too happy seeing Aiden after nine years. But she had to come back to Citrus Beach for a shot to give her daughter a better life. As secrets resurface, and truths are finally out, can Skye and Aidan have another shot too.

It has been awhile since I liked a JS Scott novel. Don't get me wrong they're good, but this one was one of the best. Maybe it's because it's a secret baby troupe, but I like that we have a single mother as the main character (mimd you, I am not even a mother and i liked it). And yes, I do think that Skye is the main charater even though Aiden is the Sinclair. I just feel like Skye has more personality than the other woman lead.

I have to commend that the story is more about personal struggles, problems in the relationship itself, and not a budding romance. Since this is a second chance romance, I like that they discuss about family troubles, and their relationship, not about them saying that they can't be together.

The narrator for this audiobook is the same narrator as with all the billionaire romances by JS Scott. And truthfully, I liked that she is the only one. I like her style of narration, and the steamy scenes are full of feelings that aren't over the top.

This was such a good read and listen. And it's nice to see more personality with the characters.

A good story

I really liked this book. it had twists and turns, ups and downs but thru it all it had a strong thread of love. So I would have to say that it had a good message of second chance hope.
Happy reading

Has all the feels & emotions

Really liked this story with its ups & downs. It was very believable. Love this family & how they’re learning to deal with their newly found riches & learning that money brings its own issues. Great narration by Elizabeth Powers.

Missed Opportunity

As one of the oldest in the West coast Sinclair kids, Aiden did all he could to keep his family together bit that didn't stop him from falling for his younger sister's best friend Skye. But she up and vanished while he was away for work.
Fast forward 9 years and Skye moves back home along with her daughter to try to make a living at the dilapidated restaurant she inherited from her mother. A secret that's not really a secret comes out and it's going to take a lot of faith and forgiveness to get past it for these two to find their happy ever after.
As an audiobook, I've enjoyed listening to Elisabeth Powers as she narrates pretty much all of this author's books. the consistency in storytelling has the added bonus of knowing what I'm going to hear and sometimes that's refreshing.

It was good but...

I don't agree with the negative reviews about the pacing on this. I liked the book a lot. I did, however, feel like there was something else that was going to happen that never did. This could have been a better book had she written more into the story about her past and maybe have it catch up with their present. just saying.

harlequin romance

Although I love her writing and how each book builds off the last so you always see the characters progression, they are a little typical and sweet. For example in this book you knew their story was going a long too good and something had to happen. was a little disappointed that the bump in the road was so anticlimatic.

Unexpected read

This was not what I expected. I felt that there could have been more to the story, but it still played out well.
