About this listen

Laynie

I had it all growing up. Popularity, beauty, great friends, and a perfect family. But then one day, it all changed - now I'm blind. I've never let that stop me, though. Life is an adventure, and I believe in making the best out of every moment. I spend my days with a job I love, online friends, and a sexy new book boyfriend every week. I know in my heart that someday, my own prince charming will come along and appreciate me for exactly who I am - I won't settle for anything less. Meeting Tease seems like the beginning of my fairy tale...until he opens his mouth.

Tease

I don't trust people - ever. Every single person I've ever loved has contributed, in one way or another, to the shit show that is my life. Laynie's beauty is what caught my eye, but her personality is what held it. Laynie's the only person to ever see past my appearance and break down the walls I've worked so hard to build. I'll do whatever it takes to keep her. When things heat up with a rival club and Laynie gets caught in the crossfire, I will unleash hell on earth to protect the woman who makes me want to trust someone again.

living in darkness can bring out the light

I loved having the layers that guarded Tease peeled back in this story. My heart broke for the boy he was and the man that emerged. Laney was the perfect female counterpart. The Kings have become one of my favorite MC's and I can't wait to see where fate takes the rest of the club.

i loved that you took someone with blindness and worked them into the world of bikers. i cant imagine that was easy but you made it work in an extremely beautiful way.

Very Good

I really like this story, his initial attraction to her was her beauty but then I started to think he was attracted to her because she couldn't see him. Then I realized that the real attraction was simply because she saw deep into him. To care for him for who he is and not what he does. Small Spoiler.. Laney lost her vision in a car accident when she was in high school and adapted better than even her family realized. With her seeing eye dog she went on about her life until Teaser saw her and started looking out for her everyday. They became close at the worst possible time because of situations going on in his club. She stayed by his side through it all because through him he has love, friends, a happy life, and a family especially her mother did not respect her wishes and understands that she is really okay. This book was different because of her disability and I really enjoyed that it wasn't as predictable as most.. well other than the HEA

What a Tease!

I found this audiobook, the second in a series, to be better than the first book. You have a disfigured hero with an abusive childhood who doesn't let anyone near him and a optimistic blind heroine who wants no pity. Since she can't see him, she doesn't care what his face looks like, but he's just afraid to let her in since he's been a loner for so very long. Narration was excellent by two great performers!

I have a total girl crush on Layne♥️

I don’t do a ton of reviews. This was a great MC book. I loved Ryker and Charlie, but I think Tease and Layne are my absolute favorite couple in the series. Layne is a strong heroine. She has strength and knows who she is. The girl has GRIT!! Their relationship has its hardships of course, but they aren’t complete idiots about expressing their feelings, giving each other space and working through things. This all while the madness of the MC world is hard at work right along side of them. We hear from all of our favorites as well. I really enjoyed this book and just adore these two incredibly deep individuals.

Solid story!

Great storyline that kept me engrossed throughout the book. I even cried 2x. Travis is a great, interesting lead. Lainey was a good lead as well. Never made you sorry for her. Found I was rooting for her. Add that with the fabulous narration of Joe Arden, I was in heaven. Was left with the feeling of wanting more. Wished the book was longer. Looking forward to book 3.

Solid MC Story

As far as MC books go, this one is pretty solid. You have your grumpy MMC, Tease who is instantly drawn to Laynie from first sight and starts to keep an eye on her. Laynie, calls Tease "coffee dick" because, well, he is a dick and she always runs into him at the coffee shop. I loved that Laynie was blind and even so, she was a strong, independent woman. I loved how Tease took care of her throughout the book but also let her be independent and didn't try to baby her or treat her like an invalid.

The ending of this book was so sad, but I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series.
