Story
Breaking news: The bad boy of baseball, Maddox Paige, is totally and utterly whipped. Okay, that might not be the headline in the newspaper this morning, but it's the reality of my current situation. It all started a month ago when I received a call from my best friend, Kinsley. She’d gotten a new job in Chicago and needed a place to stay. I've known the girl since I was five, so I figured there wouldn't be any harm in having her stay at my place for a while. Ha! Total disaster.

Same formula too often in the series. Hopefully the next one is better if not I need to change authors for a while.

Story
Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. When Emerson tragically passes away, she leaves one final wish for her best friends: to conquer the fears they still carry as adults. For Marley, it's coming to terms with the survivor's guilt she's carried around since her twin sister's death, which has left her blind to the real chance for romance in her life. For Georgia, it's learning to stop trying to live up to her mother's and brother's ridiculous standards and learning to accept love.

Kristan just did it again with another real life big stuff tackle. I love how relatable she makes each character and how they overcome their challenges. A lovely story.

Slow and then fast
Reviewed: 04-21-24
I found this one super annoying. Of course I liked the outcome but she could have written the character better and more detail at the end. It just sort of fell flat. A great promising story and if they converted it into a script it could be done very well and expanded.
Mostly I don’t respect the silliness of the main character not being honest about things that weren’t it was like there was a lack in development for all the other brave things she wanted to stand for but was super immature about other things. It was a disconnect in Her character.

What I learned after last year’s distractions cost my hockey team our entire season? No more screwing up. No more screwing, period. As the new team captain, I need a new philosophy: hockey and school now, women later. Which means that I, Hunter Davenport, am officially going celibate...no matter how hard that makes things.

Female Narrator struggled with words
Reviewed: 04-17-24
She just had a tough time with a few basic words. So much that it made think oh she means…. Just happened too many times to not comment on it. Maybe it can be a fun way to listen to it to catch them all. Otherwise a sweet little story.

Worst male narrator I’ve heard in a long time. So sad as there’s potential for an okay book but I’m not even sure I can finish it even though I’m 3/4 through the book it’s just so bad.

Story
In the wake of the tragedy, 17-year-old Franny found solace in a group of friends whose experiences mirrored her own. The group calls themselves The Ordinary, and they spend their free time investigating local ghost stories and legends, filming their exploits. It's silly, it's fun, and it keeps them from dwelling on the sadness that surrounds them. Until one evening, when the strange and dangerous thing they film isn't fiction - it's a bright light, something massive hurtling toward them from the sky. And when it crashes and the teens go to investigate...everything changes.

Historically unrealistic and editing flaws
Reviewed: 01-08-24
Lots of errors where they just dropped off or left things unresolved in the plot or description of how to get out of tangles. The unrealistic historical approach to how society and people behaved then was too much for me to enjoy. Nice love story but too dreamy for my taste.

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Story
Nine years ago, Weston Madigan saved me. I came to Colorado penniless, heartbroken, and pregnant, searching for a fresh start. Weston gave me a job at his family’s resort, then left the next day and never returned, not even to visit. Then I stumble in on Weston cooking breakfast shirtless—gloriously, inappropriately shirtless—in the shared kitchen of my duplex in employee housing. Given the shock on both our faces, he wasn’t expecting a roommate either, let alone two.
