Top Two Favorite Book

This book gave me all the feels. It took a delicate subject matter and really told the story in the most gentle and caring way. I appreciated that it didn’t include graphic imagery but was still able to provide enough detail that you understood the extent of the trauma suffered by MC2.
The banter and chemistry between the two main characters was amazing and the fact that it was preformed by two fantastic narrators really just put this book in the number 2 spot of my all time favorite books and narrations.

Story
Rusty Baker is a blond, rich, entitled football player in a high school full of them - just the type of oblivious jock all the bullied kids hate. And he might have stayed that way, except he develops a friendship with out-and-proud Oliver Campbell from the wrong side of the tracks. Rusty thinks the friendship is just pity - Oliver is very bright, and Rusty is very not - but then Oliver kisses him good-bye when Rusty leaves for college, and Rusty is forced to rethink everything he knows about himself.

I was up half the night reading this story. I just couldn’t put it down. Growing up, finally understanding who you really are and unconditional love. This one really needs to be moved up the TBR list!

Story
His world was water and rhythm. Hard work and drive kept Royal O'Connell one step ahead of his competition. His spot on the swim team, keeping his scholarship, was the only plan that mattered. His world was ebony and ivory. Natural talent and ambition set Camden Morgan apart from the other music majors. His dedication scored him a full ride. Normally, their paths would have never crossed...but when Royal meets his best friend's new roommate, his big plan and Camden's controlled environment faces a variable that could destroy it all: attraction.

Just a Beautiful Story about Two Beautiful Souls

While this is the exact type of story I love, I purchased and moved this book to the top of my TBR pile because of the narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Aaron Shedlock. Together they are the holy grail of story tellers for me.
I will admit, I felt like this story started slow. I hung in there though and was so glad I did. I really liked how we started the book by watching Royal deal with his attraction to Camden and then having the strength to act on it. Next we see Camden gain strength through the beginning of their relationship, enough to finally come out to his parents. Lastly, we see them grow in strength together as they come out to Royal’s family and the whole school. Loved this book.

Story
Her world was color. Canvas and paint. Indie O'Connell lived inside her head. Her voices the muse. And as a freshman at St. Peter's College, all she wanted was to create a name for herself with the brush in her hand. His world was over. Despite his humble upbringing, Kai Carter seemed to have it all. Captain of the swim team and a full scholarship. His golden boy status a mask he had to wear to keep his dream and his family afloat. All the pieces of his life dangled precariously from his fingertips. They never planned for their worlds to collide.

Just WOW…

I honestly started this book because I loved the first book in the series, Let There Be Light, so much. I was hoping to get glimpses of Royal and Camden in it, just to hang onto them a little longer. While I wasn’t disappoint on that front, I soon found myself totally wrapped up in Kai and Indy’s story.
The way their love unfolded, as they separately fought their own demons, was just beautiful. I appreciated how the author gave equal time to the battles both characters faced. I honestly searched for small pockets of time where I could continue to listen to this story because I didn’t want to put it down.
The only area where I was slightly disappointed was toward the end of the book. I would have gladly given up the entire gallery scene just to have had more time at the dance with these two. Thank goodness for the epilogue!! This one will stay with me for a while.

Story
Nash, a longtime Dirty Angels MC member and lead singer of Dirty Deeds, has a secret. For years, he’s hidden his bisexuality from his brothers, fellow bikers, worried how they’d take the news. But Nash isn’t the only one keeping secrets from his brotherhood. So is Cross, a police officer and member of the Blue Avengers MC. As opposite as they come, when Cross spots Nash across the bar, he can’t resist the unexpected attraction. And they need to survive in two different worlds where men who like other men aren’t usually accepted, and where bikers and cops don’t mix.

I love that you take your time with these two awesome men, to show the hard as hell path they chose to follow, how each take their turn being so drawn to the other and the fight to stay away.
I’m in my 2nd read in 2 days. Thank you for writing a book I enjoyed that much.

Story
"Happily Ever After" wasn't supposed to come with a do-over option. But when my husband of 20 years packs up and heads for greener pastures, and my son heads away to college, that's exactly what my midlife becomes. A do-over. This time, though, I plan to do things differently. Age is just a number, after all, and at 40 I'm ready to carve my own path. Eager for a fresh start, I make a somewhat unorthodox decision and move to a tiny town in the Sierra foothills.

I have not had this many laugh out loud moments in a book in a while. I’m new to K.F. Breene and this was a great introduction!
Jessie and Austin sizzle, Mr Tom, Edgar and (still can’t pronounce it correctly 😂) are amazing secondary characters. Plus I’ll never look at Begonias the same way again.
