Just meh

it's very much like previous books. Doesn't seem like the main storyline is going anywhere. These side stories are just more of the same. They are still entertaining and fun, but are we gonna be doing the same thing on book 30? 40? I just want some progression.

Not bad...
Reviewed: 03-01-23
It's not the worst LitRPG I've read. But the arbitrary levels and points being unrealistic kinda does a disservice to the genre. Not much in the way of character development.

Where is it going?
Reviewed: 12-22-20
I really do like this series. But after the last several books, I'm left wondering, "Where is the series going?" Nothing has really happened. The same cookie cutter story, although entertaining; it just seems the series has stagnated and I'm waiting for Mr. Larson to really break out. I know he's capable, so I'll just keep enjoying them until the epicness is unleashed.

Reviewed: 05-23-16
The finale to this great trilogy has a very satisfying conclusion. There were moments I thought I hated; moments I laughed excitedly and moments I wanted to howl with vicious tenacity. The narrator was exceptional as usual. So glad I read this series. Let's hope hollywood doesn't destroy it if/when they make a movie of it.

I really enjoyed the story, but the narrator was terrible. He used no contractions and has a boring voice, but if you can overlook that it really is a pretty good story.
