As always. The author never fails to deliver an excellent story.

My only complaint is the narrator. She does not distinguish the voices of the Male characters. They sound the same as the female characters which distracts
From the the over all experience of listening to the story.

The narrator’s performance was all but Monotone. The male and female voice were indistinguishable. I stopped listening multiple times, but made myself finish the book.

Amy Chastain has made a lot of enemies - none so ruthless as the insanely powerful New Ruling Order (NRO). When they killed her husband, it was hell. In the company of Navy SEALs, Jace “Mac” Mackenzie was in his physical element. Now he’s on the run from the same cabal that poisoned Amy’s children. Good story and series

I have listened to most of this author’s books. I really enjoyed the earlier book’s, but I sometimes feel as if I’m listening to short sermons laced throughout the story line. This is very distracting as I have stopped listening several times. Even started and finished another book before returning to this book.

Stephanie Plum, Trenton’s hardest working, most underappreciated bounty hunter, is offered an assignment that seems simple enough. Local jeweler Martin Rabner wants her to locate his former security guard, Andy Manley (a.k.a. Nutsy), who he is convinced stole a fortune in diamonds from his safe. Stephanie is also looking for another troubled man, Duncan Dugan, a fugitive from justice arrested for robbing the same jewelry store on the same day.
