I just can't stand this man's voice! Who's ever idea it was to get him and the people who approved of it should be taken out back and slapped around a bit with a dead fish.
You've got way better people on here who would have been perfect to do the books justice but nooooooooo. it had to have been this Mr-smokes-two-packs-a-day guy.

I prefer books from movies because it gives it more details than whatnwe see but it was still a bit more cheesey
Also I don't get why the reader gave the guys Hispanic accents when reading the men's parts but it was a good listen to overall.

It lacked anything else and be prepared to know these words: Cellular Necrosis, Pustules and Lesions. Their in every other sentence from here on out!
I believe this man very much so copied and pasted storylines from other writers and threw in some alien becsuse all he needed was to do watch the first movie and that was it. He "knew" the alien and that was enough to create this rushed sequel that FOX really needs.
The ending was a cheap shot twist because he had set up that the alien had a need to start procreating and had set rules to do so. If that was the case then the cheap ending? Just that. To set up another sequel and the rules be damned.
Her performance was the only redeeming quality for this book and that's it.

It was nice to bring this back and to rid the majority of the time line but this was just chalk full of some scary movie tropes and big time idiots. The pod casters, Dr Sartain and the ever popular teenage angst. Oh and Ray. Anyway this does provide some nice scenes that weren't in the movie so it does tend to make a lot more sense instead of piecing it together yourself. I enjoyed it but I hope the next one to come out is just as good as the first sequel did all those yrs ago.

There were a couple of times I didn't know who was who so be on the lookout for that and you'll know what I mean. The over all story line and performance more than enough make up for that. I was sucked in transported to a world of the weird satanicisms that folks tend to think of Satan and witchcraft and quite frankly I love it. Give it a go and you won't be disappointed.

This book oh my wow
Reviewed: 08-25-20
It's a good book but I just wished it was written better and edited a hell of a lot better. There are so many questions left unanswered and so many random things thrown in that it was just a hot mess for instance: is Octavia supposed to be over a hundred years old? Is one of the ghost a vampire? Why are the four children left to be there after all of this to continue in their enslaved positions? And how the hell does the two main ghost of the house still get to stay and not be exorcised out? They were evil and gave Octavia the leprosy as well as enslaved thousands of people? I don't know, I'm sure I spoiled things for people but then again the book does a good job of that in the first chapter alone so you're not gonna really be disappointed by that except for the hot mess that awaits you.

I loved it a lot
It was my first introduction to the series and I cannot get enough of it. I'm a huge fan of the Red Dead series and hearing that Roger; the voice of Arthur, was narrating this was enough to bring me in and I'm glad I did. I love the fact that you even though I knew how it was going to end when he went to see 9 Finger Nan I was still upset and didn't want the book to end. I need more and I cannot wait for the book(s) to come out. Also Roger does a damn good job giving each character his/her own distinctive voice.

Story
A gripping collection of 15 BBC Radio full-cast dramas written by Bert Coules, inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories. In the 56 short stories and four novels Arthur Conan Doyle wrote about his great detective, how many times did Dr John Watson tantalise us with references to cases which were never written about in full? These original adventures flesh out those unrecorded cases to wonderful effect. Clive Merrison plays the great sleuth himself, with Andrew Sachs in the role of Doctor Watson.

I love how it sounds like a typical day in the life of....
Just conversations, walking, murder, eating. Etc.
It's the closet to, that I can get, to the "real life" of Holmes and Watson. Plus it has Tom Baker for anyone a fan of the Doctor.
Of course Jeremy Brett will always be my Sherlock Holmes for my visual and for my Holmes all together. But for listening, it's Clive.
