Publisher's summary

18 and Life on Skid Row tells the story of a boy who spent his childhood moving from Freeport, Bahamas, to California and finally to Canada and who, at the age of eight, discovered the gift that would change his life.

Throughout his career Sebastian Bach has sold over 20 million records both as the lead singer of Skid Row and as a solo artist. He is particularly known for the hit singles "I Remember You", "Youth Gone Wild", and "18 & Life" and the albums Skid Row and Slave to the Grind, which became the first ever hard rock album to debut at number one on the Billboard Top 200 and landed him on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Bach then went on to become the first rock star to grace the Broadway stage, with starring roles in Jekyll & Hyde, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He also appeared for seven seasons on the hit television show Gilmore Girls.

In his memoir Bach recounts lurid tales of excess and debauchery as he toured the world with Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Soundgarden, Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, and Guns N' Roses. 18 and Life on Skid Row is the story of hitting it big at a young age and of a band that broke up in its prime. It is the story of a man who achieved his wildest dreams, only to lose his family and then his home. It is a story of perseverance; of wine, women, and song; and of a man who has made his life on the road and always will. 18 and Life on Skid Row is not your ordinary rock memoir, because Sebastian Bach is not your ordinary rock star.

Interesting and Entertaining

What made the experience of listening to 18 and Life on Skid Row the most enjoyable?

A great listen for fans of Sebastian Bach. It's read by the author, so if you're familiar with Bas you probably know what your getting into. His personality shines throughout the reading. Now I hear his voice in my head as part of own "inner monologue".

What was one of the most memorable moments of 18 and Life on Skid Row?

Lots of great Motley Crue and other band stories.

Not quite as youthful, but still wild!

Sebastian Bach, the charismatic, vocal rock god tells the story of his life in a fun and engaging way. He still has the natural comic timing and zest for life as he did when he was a 19 year old kid. His reflections on his past seemed to show that he has learned a lot in his 30 years in the music industry, but also his personal growth journey is apparent. Very entertaining, much like going down memory lane with a dear friend.

So good!

Absolutely loved hearing Sebastian read his book‼️ The insight to the life of one of my favorite singers was told in such a way I felt like I was there. One of the best autobiographies I have read/listened to in a long time.

Fantastic and funny!

All I can say is, nice work! I loved it and couldnt put it down. Made me revisit the solo albums and wow, I was blown away at angel down. The tone of the guitars were amazing, 5150s I believe. Great book and experience through and through.

Best book of the year!

Being a lifelong Skid Row fan I can't explain what a joy it is to hear Baz himself candidly narrate his story.
Completely indispensable.
Fun, funny and full of rock!
Check it out.

What an amazing life!

Having Sebastian Bach read his life story to you is incredible! I would've had his voice in my head anyway so to have it as a reality is even better. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll! Never realized he was so serious about his voice!

Sebastian is alright!

Typical rock n roll story for the most part but told in a fascinating way by Mr. Bach. I really like this guy and what he stands for. Skid Row is obviously nothing without him. Excellent book & narration.

Dude! Great book!

Like he idolizes the band KISS, for a lifetime I have idolized him. Loved the stories and did not want them to end! Much respect! The teaser at the end has left me wishing it would be so!
