Publisher's summary

Robert Tracy is spirited away from his own execution. A top-secret government project makes him an offer he can't refuse: work for us or disappear permanently. With no choice, he embarks on a mission to undo a terrorist attack that has already occurred, by being sent back in time 36 hours. But all is not as it seems. Soon, a conspiracy at the highest level of government to seize total power over the country threatens the second chance at life he has been given. Not knowing whom he can trust, he must fight to survive and save himself, as well as a woman in the past who was drawn into the battle for the very survival of the country. Spanning both time, and the width of America, 36 is a unique thrill ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

If you had a day and a half what would you do?

Wow, time travel, save the girl, save the world, the possibilities are unlimited.
The story is about a not guilty convicted murder. That gets caught up in circumstances that are totally beyond his control, he ends up with a complete new identity, and a new perspective on life. The costs are beyond his imagination, but in some ways he challenges the science that has set him on this new path to becoming a superman time traveler...plenty of action, humor, boy gets girl, and mild flirting...all in all new concepts with a lot of fun and adventure along the way.

Worst narration yet

I love Dirk Pattons books and have everything he has written. 36 was such a cool book to read and the character development was great. Listening to the book however has left me hating the main character and thinking everyone is a whiny whimp.

This is truly my favorite time travel book and it ties in with the voodoo plague series but the narration is the worst of the 500 audiobooks I have heard

Cool story but...

The guy reading drives me nuts with his "I said.... She said" seems he highlights it every time. Other than that it was cool.

Where did this guy learn to read?

I doubt I'll stay with this book long enough to know how good the story is, because the reader is so inept it's painful to listen. He doesn't know how to intonate dialogue, saying every appositive 'I said, 'she said' like a complete sentence, between portions of an utterance. It's nuts.
