About this listen

For Christians, eternity with Jesus is an exciting promise that many long to see fulfilled. But many wonder what is so wonderful about heaven. In a 50-day devotional journey, Randy Alcorn reveals Biblical teachings on what life will be like in heaven. Throughout this journey, the listener will learn and meditate upon the promises, rewards and expectations, as found in scripture, that a believer in Christ will enjoy for all eternity.

This devotional draws on the teachings in Randy Alcorn's best-selling book Heaven.

An intresting study

You know, I was surprised to see how little I knew about the afterlife. This book goes through (in some detail) what to expect in your new life. It clarifies several misconceptions such as that we will be disembodied spirits in heaven and that God gave up on the planet earth and is just waiting for it to end to gather up whats left. The author gives us many things to look forward to, and he reads it so well that it is like you are hearing a friend speaking to you and comforting you.
I am very new to this whole thing, just listening to the authors interpretations helped me a lot to just get the general gist of things and kept me motivated to keep looking. After you read this consider picking up `lord foulgrin's letters` or `the screwtape letters`, both very good!

Great descriptions of heaven

What a great book!
As I was listening to the book
while running on the treadmill,
my soul almost jumped out and wanted
to be in heaven.
After finishing the book I realized why
so many people are bored when they think
about heaven.
The book is going to totally change your
perception of the heaven.
I highly recommend this book.

What a Blessing!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Unlike most books where the author does the reading, Randy Alcorn is as good as any professional reader I've heard. He makes me anxious to get to heaven (but in God's perfect time)!

That there will definitely be a new Earth. And I will be able to see my family members who have already gone before me.

I like the detail that is in the book about heaven and the new earth. It was definitely something that I needed to hear and it really encourages me to live my life, the way I know. God wants me to live it and to look forward to my next life.

I really enjoyed 50 Days of Heaven by Randy Alcorn. Similarly written to his book Heaven which I have listen through 9 times.

One of the best devotionals!

This book re-calibrates our thinking to what is really important in life. We listened to the audiobook on the way to work each day, and it was just the right length for a car devotional. Bible truths shared in a memorable way!

Great content, poor navigation

The subject and content are great, but navigation is impossible because there are no individual chapters for each day’s devotional.

Old man longing for Heaven

Listen to this book several times——I hear something new every time. If you cannot take what he says is true then get out your bible and check it out. He gives Book and verse. Also on Audible he reads the text for you and he is talking to just YOU. How much better could it be??!!! His description of heaven is fantastic, something you don’t hear from the pulpit. He gives you a perspective that you may not have heard and if you combine this book with several other books, one of which is Heaven is for Real, you will find similarities that confirm what this man says. Don’t pass up this book 50 Days of Heaven.

Excited for Heaven

I listened to this book while on a mission trip in Russia and as he described the "new earth" I looked around at the rolling hills, orchards and mountains in the background and realized that is where I wanted to live in eternity! This book really has me looking at eternity in a new way and thus living my life in a new way. I highly recommend it.

A new perspective

I came into this book/study a bit negatively, thinking I’m tired of speculation, and unless he has died and come back to share, it’s another person’s opinion.

But I was captivated by Randy’s explanation of why he originally began studying Heaven, and I kept reading.

To hear Randy Alcorn himself felt like we were having a personal conversation. Then clearly God was with him in the direction he was led in his personal pursuit to find truth.

I highly recommend this book to anyone wondering what comes next. Thank you Randy Alcorn for opening your study up to others!
