A great audiobook worth every penny!
Would you listen to A Beginner's Guide to Meditation again? Why?
This audiobook exceeded my expectations on how informative and inspiring it was! The audiobook was able to communicate in simple ways the best way to start meditating and how to make the most of starting a meditating practice. It also inspired me to meditate more in my life so I can reap all the benefits listed in the audiobook! I found myself wanting to meditate while listening to the soothing voice of Karen. Great job by Marc Zirogiannis, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to start their meditation practice.

This is an excellent way to learn about meditation
If you could sum up A Beginner's Guide to Meditation in three words, what would they be?
Effective, smart and compelling.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Since this is a non-fiction audio book there are no "characters", but of the three types of meditation described, martial arts, mantra and visualization, the visualization is my favorite because it is so goal oriented and seems so perfect for my needs.
What about Karen-Eileen Gordon’s performance did you like?
The narrator's performance is a perfect match for the content, the message, of this audio book in that it literally helps set the stage for meditation. Her voice and delivery is calm, steady and reassuring, making the straightforward lessons in the book accessible and compelling.
What did you learn from A Beginner's Guide to Meditation that you would use in your daily life?
I have been thinking about meditation, but not yet gotten around to trying it. This audio book has convinced me of the importance of meditation as a part of my life and that it is something I can achieve. In today's high-stress world, with so many pressures pulling at me and perhaps preventing me from being my best, meditation offers a way to be more centered and relaxed.

Anyone, like me, who knows little about meditation and wants to learn more should find A Beginner's Guide to Meditation very helpful.

Get in a meditative state
What did you love best about A Beginner's Guide to Meditation?
Meditation is something I've resisted for years. And for the first time, I'm inspired to try it in earnest.This is no small feat - I'm a hard charging Type-A entrepreneur who usually looks at things like this as a waste of my time. I could never actually sit still long enough to do any sort of personal introspection, let alone meditate. But, as I said, I'm inspired.
Who was your favorite character and why?
There were no characters, other than the narrator's voice, offering soothing instructions.
What does Karen-Eileen Gordon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Karen's soothing voice puts you in the mood to be calm, centered and, in my case, less "fidgety" and more likely to actually be able to meditate. She remains clear, kind and very connected to the material. She truly "gets" it - this isn't the approach I'd think she'd take with any other type of book, but it's perfect for this one.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from A Beginner's Guide to Meditation?
I'm hoping it will bring a new sense of stability to my hectic life. I'm still a bit skeptical, but if there's anything that will do this, it's this audiobook. Time will tell.
Any additional comments?
Karen's intimate approach to the voicing of the book is absolutely spot on - you're instantly at ease, and get the feeling that all she and Marc want is your well-being. I found myself instantly less stressful and open to the challenge of meditation.
