It was difficult to read the first few chapters, but well worth it. I loved the deep delve into the MC feelings, her emotions and experiences. Bliss knows how to turn words into feelings like no one else. I loved this book Harper!

Thank you for sharing your challenges as a person and as an author. I had tears in my eyes when you shared the meaning behind this story. I have read many of your books, have enjoyed each one and will continue to listen to these beautiful stories until I have heard all 30. Then I will move on to the rest.

Thank you, Harper

Wow, I’ve read a lot of her novels and this one has to top all of them. Just such an amazing way to deliver words.

Every five star review I read before delving into this book is on point. This could be the best HB book ever, Abby Craden is the perfect narrator for this one in particular, authors note at the end. All magnificent. So I’m writing this review because, for the first time ever, I feel that I HAVE to mention the cover!! It’s so beautiful! As the book advanced, I found myself coming back to view the cover over and over. It’s brilliant! The story, for me, is right there. It makes so much sense. It’s moving to me.
Thank you to everyone who made this such a wonderful book ❤️

Beautiful in all ways…

While society more than ever likes to cast aside the value of growing old, this author describes the richness one can experience with a new love and a modified career when at first blush it seems as if life should be over.

Some friends of mine and I have a saying we use with one another that goes: Don't feed the monster. I think this story is a good illustration of what can happen when we stop feeding the monster; the monster that is haunting us and stealing our joy. And, also, of just how difficult it is to stop feeding it, especially in the beginning.

This book could have been a real bummer and I admit I had reservations about listening to it. Especially since it is narrated by Abby Craden who delivers every nuance of emotion that Bliss puts on the page so well that it seems more of a collaboration than a performance. Thankfully, I believed the reviews and took a chance on it and was soon thoroughly invested in this well-told story and felt lighter and uplifted by its end.
