About this listen

Micky Ferro has lived her entire life according to other people's expectations. She married a man, had two children, and became a dutiful stay-at-home mom in suburban Sydney. Until she realized, with a little help from her best friend, that her picture-perfect life wasn't making her happy.

On the first anniversary of her divorce, Micky decides it's time for the next step in her journey and gets a job at her neighborhood coffee shop, The Pink Bean. Becoming a barista sparks a big change in Micky's daily routine, but could loud-spoken American customer Robin do the same for her love life? Contains mature themes.

Much needed story

A topic that doesn't get covered much- but needs to be. My only complaint is that I wish the book was longer...

Wonderful story

Loved the confusion and emotions throughout. i think I wanted an Australian narrator coupled with an American one…

Not particularly memorable

Fantastic narration by Angela Dawe, but unfortunately a predictable unremarkable plot and forgettable characters.

terrible. don't bother

I don't know why I continue to try books by this author. I thought an audio version might be better than reading the print version. No such luck. Bad verbiage. Scenes that are partially nonsensical, and overly repetitive lines.

First Book in Marvelous Series

Micke had divorced her husband a year ago and now that she and her two teenagers were settled in the new neighborhood she needs something to do. At the urging of her best friend she take a job at The Pink Bean, a lesbian friendly coffee shop. In her forties she gets a chance at her first relationship with Robin, an American woman. Great performance and author. Recommend Series.

No Strings Attached

Well this was an enjoyable story about a divorced mom who is discovering her attraction to women after a long marriage.
The story flowed along nicely. It almost seems like it was page after page of some very detail sexual encounters. I was surprised at how much sexual activity there was. It wasn’t too much just more than usual. I liked it and I would recommend it.

The narration was of course spot on.

Great story

I remember my coming out and the worry and struggles I had. I found myself excited for these woman and actually cried too. The humor was entertaining and kind of took some of the edge off some of the intensity ar times. I would have liked to have seen a bit more depth given to the women who owned the coffee shop. maybe next time. Excellent as a audio book. Narrator could read to me anytime. loved it.
