Publisher's summary

Two women lose the man they love. All they have left is each other.

Sophie's life is turned upside down when her partner, Ian, dies in a tragic accident. The only one who can understand her devastation is Ian's stepmother, Dolores. Together, they try to make sense of their loss and rebuild their shattered lives. While their shared grief brings them closer, it also takes their relationship in an unexpected direction. Where does sorrow end and romance begin? Or has Ian's death blurred the lines too much?

If you love deeply emotional lesbian romance with a twinge of controversy, don't miss this intense but hopeful novel by chart-topper Harper Bliss.

Wow

Not what I expected. A wonderful and in depth take on grief and the way love can be born in so many different ways.
Also insanely sexy.

Beautiful & eye opening

The phrase "Love is love" takes on a whole deeper meaning is this emotional roller coaster. Finding love, being able to hold on to it and letting it heal all while dealing with one of the most painful emotional experiences one could go through made a surprisingly wonderful read. Very well written and preformed in the audio version.

Amaaaazing!

I rarely write any reviews, but this book is soooooo amazing! The story is amazing & new.. I never thought that I would like yet, but I ended up loving it & taking it as one of my favorites.
The narrator made me soooo involved that I skipped sleep just to finish the book. She is above wonderful as she brought the feelings into life.. made me feel every word & emotion as if I was one of the characters.
All in all, an AMAZING listen.
I'm so sad it ended, as it really was amazing.

Definitely one of my all time favorites!

I was looking for a new spin on a novel writing about love and women. This one hit the nail on the head. So often when you read lesbian romances it becomes very repetitive & boring. Same story...different names. Not this book! A fresh look at love in the most unexpected places. If you’ve ever fought with yourself on what was expected of you, thought what will people think, or just couldn’t come to terms with how amazed you are to have found this love... this is a great read. Very raw and I found it true to my own emotions at different times in my life. It made me relate.

This as my first Harper Bliss novel. Not sure if others can beat it but I’m excited to try.

a must read

it's one of those listens you can't stop listening to n get annoyed when you have to turn it off to go do something else before you can finish bit. only complaint is towards the end her thoughts about Ian were redundant. but it was worth the credit and much more. thanks for the good audiobook

In the Distance There is Light

Harper Bliss approaches a taboo romance with honesty, tenderness, and love. The book illustrates that love happens. What the world says about a relationship between two consenting adults should not matter. It does, and we see how Delores and Sophie have been influenced by society's perception of relationships and love. The path is true. Nothing thrown our way is not based on what could really happen. I love the book. I loved all the characters. I will reread this one. Charlotte North's narration is wonderful.

I am sure some people had issues with the morality

This story was very good and real. If you haven’t been through this kind of grief you would never understand the need to feel alive. It was well written and well narrated.
