About this listen

They celebrated their love with a dance. But will it end in divorce?

John and Abby Reynolds were the perfect couple, sharing a love born of childhood friendship and deep family ties. They are envied by their friends, cherished by their children, admired by their peers. But John and Abbey are about to lose it all. On the verge of having an affair, John is no more the man Abby married than she is the long-ago girl of his dreams. They are strangers whose days of dancing seem gone forever.

They gather their three children to announce their plans, but before they can speak, their daughter makes an announcement of her own; she's getting married in the summer.

Abby and John determine not to ruin their daughter's season of happiness, but as the wedding nears they are haunted by questions. Is the decision they've made irreversible? Are there times when marriage - even the marriage between two people of faith - is truly beyond repair? And is it possible, alone in the moonlight on an old wooden pier, to once more find...a time to dance?

Discover the resiliency of boundless love, the power of commitment, and the amazing faithfulness of God in A Time to Dance.

Very good

This was a very long book, but it was so good! A lot of scenarios and biblical principles that really make you think. In such a busy world, I can see this happening a lot and it's quite sad. This book is about faith, family, love forgiveness, recommitment to God, second chances and so much more! Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go dance with my husband.

The narration was good,

Very Spiritual

We need more reminders about how to hold true to our faith and promises we make to one another.

Love this book!

This book was well written and kept my attention. At times I couldn’t put it down. In addition it was a great reminder to nurture my marriage. Reading this book changed my heart in a good way, softened it and gave me a new prospective in aspects of my own life. I love to read for entertainment but I love even more to read books that actually touch your very soul.

Story was great, however the narrator fell flat.

I really enjoyed the story, it gave such a good example of how easily a marriage can fall into a cavern, but gives such hope as to how it can be restored. It also shows that prayers work.
The narrator could have used some help in sounding more like the characters , and and put some more intrest in her reading so that she would sound more professional.

Get the Kleenex out

This is almost probably is the most moving book I’ve ever read or listen to, my heart was so deeply touched. There were times when I wanted to just jump in to the book and shake them and say listen listen. That’s how real the characters the situation the writing was. There’s so many people I wish would read this book for so many reasons. If you have a teenage daughter I would really recommend this book that you give her to prepare her to condition her to make her realize there’s something so wonderful about waiting for that. True love.

The power of love and forgiveness

This story was an emotional one for me, having gone through two divorces with the same man. God was with me through it all, and he knew of my efforts to hold on as long as I could. But infidelity is a hard burden when your mate doesn’t want to change his ways.

I so appreciated how Karen Kingsbury displayed in ‘A Time to Dance’ how God desires us to be happy through love and forgiveness.

Love Triumphs

As a follower of Jesus, I thoroughly enjoyed the frequent references and quotes from the Bible. The story was predictable but that didn't lessen my enjoyment. This was my first book by this author, although I've seen her books for sale in the Christian book stores. I'm glad I finally tried one. And I'll definitely give a listen to another Karen Kingsbury selection.
