About this listen

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author S. E. Smith brings us a holiday-filled fantasy in a quest to save the Dragonlings.

When Ariel mentions another human holiday, the women get excited. They aren't the only ones, though. The Dragon Lords and their friends, Vox and Ha'ven, decide they want to be part of the planning this time. Things get a little out of hand when the men begin competing with each other to create the best Christmas ever for the Dragonlings, Roam and Alice.

Filled with tales of St. Nick, Rudolph, and Frosty and the newest tale of the Old Dragon of the Mountain, they are determined to light up the palace like never before and turn it into the new North Pole. Just when the women think they have everything under control, panic ignites when the Dragonlings suddenly disappear just days before Christmas. What no one expects is for the children to take it upon themselves to go in search of the legendary dragon who has threatened to steal the magic of Christmas. Now their parents are in a race to find the Dragonlings before they lose them forever. Will they be able to find them and celebrate the magic of the season, or will the Dragon of the Mountain keep them hidden forever?

Adorable Story

Adorable story about the first Christmas on Valdier. All of the brothers and their friends children were involved in an adventure. They were told a story about an old dragon who lives on the mountain and tries to steal Christmas. The children get it in their head to find the dragon and befriend him.
I adored this story. The children were so cute in their actions and how they all contributed to their survival during the trip up the mountain.

There are Not Enough Stars Available

first off, kudos to David Brenin! I have listened to hundreds of books on audible and he is by far one of my top three favorite narrators of all! This book really shows that off. His handling of the children's voices bring about all their joy and adorableness of childhood without ever sounding hokey or forced.

The story itself hits me right in the "feels." It's just beautifully written. This is an absolute must listen to!

I liked it.

I liked the narrator. A very cute story with quite a few twist. The child perspective was dead on.

LOVED IT

All S.E.Smith books are awesome. Who doesn't love dragons? And the dragonlings are just too sweet. It's nice to peek in at all the couples from previous books. Recommend the series as well as all her others I have enjoyed.

Dragonlings Rock!

The dragonling stories have become my favorites and this one is the very best of them all! While it is a stand-alone book, my knowledge of the background of the dragon on the mountain from having read about him in a previous book enhanced my experience.
If you haven't read that one or any of the other Dragonling novels don't hesitate to read this one NOW. After all, tis nearly the season!

OMG Precious!!

S.E.Smith has truly made a precious gift with this story. I have enjoyed all of her books that I have listened to but this is the most touching. David Brenin is genius, the voices and speech of the children is very creative, just love him.
