About this listen

The warlock council has taken over the school, and these guys don't mess around. They can purify Sinistral blood, and guess who is on their tainted list? Yours truly, and worse - my beloved incubus Alec. Did I mention the new dean is also Harris' cousin? Harris will have to betray his family if he wants to help us, but the price he asks of me is...um...blush murmur.

As if I don't have enough problems already, Firian is still stuck as a fox, Montague is getting a little more cozy with his vampire heritage, and Daisy is betrothed to the new dean who is more than willing to abuse her powers. I'm still trying to save my mom and bring her home to my dad, but the truth is, I'm scared. She's been working for a high demon for 20 years, and what will she do back in my little hometown? Go get a job at the diner and regale the local Baptists with stories of her days working for a demon? Yeah, right.

The faeries might offer us a way out, but only if we can kill the high demon and deliver his head to the faery queen. We all have a stake in this fight, but are all the hours I spent playing MMORPGs sufficient training for a real life boss battle? I'm about to find out.

Contains mature themes.

So it was good but bad ending.

This book in the series was good to start up and kept it up for most the book. Twist and turns with great storyline. Then you get to the last chapters. I was so bummed out. I don’t know if id buy the last book. But it’s free so I won’t have to debate with myself. Oh and I dislike Harris character more.

Spoiler rant******* don’t read if you don’t wanna be surprised

The character Harris is such a let down. Like he could have been so much better. They finally have a sex scene and it was baaaaad. Like short and does not get her off. She’s like what about me. He’s like I got you earlier. Then he treats her like a jerk the whole time.
Later on. She gives up something important to her to help him. But he never says thank you. He’s an ass. I hate the way the book ended. I was sooo bummed out.

I did not expect any of this

I am absolutely floored. like. how?! how did I fall so madly in love with this series?! I started listening to it cuz I thought the cheesy title would be a good, cheap, palate cleanser after binging Creasant City 3... but then I couldn't stop. I was a little worried in the first book cuz I thought the author wouldn't circle back to the sexism and transphobia... but ooohhh my gosh she did. I was not prepared for how excited I would be to continue this series. I really hope that the LGBTQIA themes and addressing issues continues in future books. the spicy scenes were meh in the first two books but really dialed up in this one. I'm excited to find out what happens next!! thanks so much for not shying away from trans topics. we need more queer and trans representation in fantasy. 💜💜💜 oh also these actors are both soooo good. I love their ranges and the different personalities they give each character. the accents were lovely and not over powering at all, even having southern and English accents smashed up together was really smooth. good job.

oh my god, this book was amazing!

oh my god, I did not see that coming where Harris died. I read oh my god. I was just crazy and then like the main character giving up her power. don't read this if you don't want spoilers

Ridiculous political agenda

Exaggerated, lying political agendas ruined this book for me . Just pure hate and lies. Why do you lie?
