About this listen

Originally published on Kindle Vella as a writing experiment.

A Girl Made of Words is the first novel by Elizabeth Fern Jensen, a transgender woman who is known for her poetry and fashion design under the branding "BlossomingAsBeth."

It tells the story of TayAri Unicorn Princess, an Egregore (just a fancy name for imaginary friend) created by Beth, and through a mixture of poetry and prose, how Beth copes with her various mental health diagnoses by interacting with TayAri in both Unicorn Land and "meatspace".

A healthy story about psychosis

As someone who is non binary, and has experienced psychosis, I really enjoyed this book. It takes you through the experience of psychosis and shows you exactly what it’s like to get properly medicated.

The author is very artistic and that comes through in their writing.

I also really enjoyed the reader! Danielle Mors has a great voice, very pleasant and honey-like in tone. I could listen to her all day.

Gratitude Abounds (potential Spoiler Alert)

Elizabeth Fern Jensen has written a piece of literature unlike anything I've ever experienced, read, or gathered!

Beth,

You have given something far more than Hope, Grace, and an opportunity to Heal through your writing.

The result has been the ability and agility to absorb this journey, written through your own perspective and reality.

Due to the narration by Danielle Mor, readers are able and agile in their journey through Elizabeth Fern Jensen's skillful writing.

Gratitude flows when I reflect on this piece, written by Elizabeth Fern Jensen.

You are loved,

Blake 💙

This is well worth listening to!

I loved the raw vulnerability in this. I feel like I truly had the chance to connect to Elizabeth on a deeper level.

A Journey Witihin

This story carried me away in multiple ways. I was carried by the journey within a hurting mind seeking to heal. I was carried away as I followed along on a path of visions and possible psychosis. I was carried away by the author allowing herself to experience a whimsical place with a magical being created within herself. I was a delightful thought-provoking listen, and I thought the narrator did an outstanding job. Take a journey, reader, with Elizabeth Fern Jensen!
